Our server was so kind and helpful. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and prepared at an excellence pace - especially considering that we were a party of 20. This is one of the best restaurants in Collingswood, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. It’s beautifully decorated too! Went there for a celebration dinner with 5 other people and this was one of the worst meals I’ve ever endured. We had a 6:30 reservation and were promptly seated and ignored for almost 30 mins. When they finally took our order the waiter was quiet, refused to speak louder and made things more difficult than needed. He brought us our food, we couldn’t hear anything he said and had to figure out on our own who’s food was who’s. Which I guess was ok seeing it was 5 minutes later when he brought out the rice and naan so we could finally start eating anyway. He came back around after a while and asked if we wanted more water. We all said yes and he said oh I don’t have enough so he filled 3 of the 6 glasses and than 10 minutes later came back to fill the other 3. He clears the plates when we’re done, asks if we want any boxes, asks if we want any dessert and than made us beg for him to bring the freaking check to us. Not shockingly because we were a “large” party of 6 people the gratuity was included in the bill. Guaranteeing that this horrible server still got his money while providing the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I definitely will never be setting foot into this establishment ever again. Which is a shame because the food was actually good, but 2 hours to serve 6 people was ludicrous.
A year ago this place was amazing the server who greet you at the door and goes and get your order is amazing. He’s a great person very friendly, kind and really cares. But I feel like they fired their best cook, and now they have somebody back there That is terrible! The chicken tikka makhani is what I always get and it’s going from a cream sauce to a tomato paste sauce overtime and the chicken is becoming way over cooked not nearly as tender and it’s disappointing anymore. I spend $55 on two dishes and I expect my food to be good.
We order delivery from these guys at least once a week. Can't get enough! The paneer Labrador sp is amazing. Also love the spinach app and the cauliflower app. And I always get a lamb dish. They're very nice, consistently great, and are the best Indian spot in the area...and we've tried a lot! Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
We really enjoy coming here! My spouse is not a huge fan of trying different cuisines, but we have been here two/three times and he really enjoys their food! Is BYOB, but the service and the food is really good! The ambience is really nice and the place is clean. Just check their hours because they have non traditional hours.
thank you for being open on a Monday and thank you an amazing lunch. the white bass karala red fish curry couldn't have been better prepared. The fish was tender and flaky. I also like the sensible portions. I would definitely recommend them as Collingswood's Monday go-to. Vegetarian options: the menu is packed with plenty of vegetarian options
The service was great and the staff were both friendly and accommodating. The reason I am only giving my experience three stars is because I was unaware that I had to specifically request for my food to have even the standard levels of Indian spice. The flavors were all correct, but it was difficult to eat what was otherwise bland food. Just a friendly warning to future patrons to inquire about the spice level of everything you order. Vegetarian options: Items like Paneer, Chaana, and other non-meat options are available. Dietary restrictions: From cursory glances at the menu, there appeared to be many vegetarian options available. I also remember seeing symbols for Gluten Free. Wheelchair accessibility: The interior had plenty of walking space that I am sure that they could accommodate a wheel chair at one of their open tables. I do not remember there being a step or other obstacle which would pose any problems.
The food was great and so was the service. I will be back for sure. The best curry chicken I’ve ever had!
Treated my spouse here foe dinner we've recently decided to go mostly vegan.Here on the eastcoast in Jersey their aren't many options unless you go to New York and even then it's still scarce in my opinion since moving back from the Westcoast where vegan options are everywhere . I lived literally around the corner from this place since Dec, 2018 and I would always see this restaurant pop up on Doordash as well as ubereats ,I'd drive by it when they 1st opened but too scared to stop in because I'm a foodie! I recently moved in December of 2021 and am upset that I never stopped in sooner. Indiya has a really sensual ambiance. As soon as you open the door the fragrance of the spices hits your nose and you feel a sense of warmth, the lighting is just right.The beautiful painting on the wall of a woman attracts you even more.Our waiter did an awesome job.I had chicken Tikka Labradora and my spouse had a lamb dish which was presented very well I may say.My spouse is NOT a foodie but he did like his dish! We also had Mango juice & simosas.The establishment is BYOB. We had a window seat while we enjoyed the native music they played. The place is very polished and cleaned including the bathroom. The wait time for our food was about 30 minutes.I also love the way they served the dishes,it made you feel very exclusive.Please give this place a try! I had great video of the dishes check out my tik tok for the dull video queen_of_amazons! Google won't allow us to post the videos.
The food here was delicious! Unfortunately there was only one person waiting on us and a few other tables but I would definitely revisit this place! The lamb shank was chefs kissFood: 5/5
