Our goal is to spread information about the Affordable Care Act to NCC and wider communities. CACs can help you to find the right health insurance for you!
Northampton Community College teamed up with Pennsylvania Campus Compact (PACC) to create INFO ACA, a coordinated, concerted, and wide-reaching effort to spread accurate and culturally appropriate information about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to Northampton Community College's campus and wider communities. As this year's AmeriCorps VISTA at NCC, Megan Acito will be developing and implementing this program while working closely with Maryann Haytmanek and the Service Learning program! We are here to help students to connect with Certified Application Counselors (CACs) who can help them to find the right health insurance plan for their needs. We are also recruiting volunteers to help their fellow students!

Why is health insurance important?
Even if you think you don't need health insurance because you're young and healthy, it's still important for you to get covered! If you do get sick or injured, without health insurance you could face extravagant costs that empty your bank account. Health insurance makes healthcare more affordable! It's important to take advantage of preventative health services in order to stay healthy longer and avoid health concerns before they become big problems.
