Inspiration Point Rural Fire Protection District, or (Inspiration Point Fire Department) is a Non-profit rural volunteer fire department.
Inspiration Point Fire Department is staffed with 24 active members, 8 of those members being Emergency medical responders, 7 others act as Traffic controllers/Fire fighters and others who are Board members who also serve in active roles as well. The department has a total of 7 different firefighting apparatus that include 2 tanker trucks used for supplying the engines with water, and that have pumping capabilities; 2 brush trucks (which one is a Engine pumper and the other is a brush truck with pumping capabilities); two engines, one of which is a rescue pumper/engine that carries our vehicle extrication tools, low angle rescue gear and multiple other tools and hoses; and one service truck that carries assorted equipment. The rescue pumper is our newest engine, and has an 800 gallon booster tank and a pump that can handle anything from a vehicle fire to a structure (house/building).

IPFD is an all volunteer department which strives to provide the highest level of service possible to the citizens, businesses, and visitors of our District. Our firefighters are committed to providing the highest quality of emergency and non-emergency response. We spend a great deal of time training, maintaining our equipment, and fund raising for new equipment to ensure the services we provide are the best they can be.
Inspiration Point Fire Department is proud of its history, and serves the residents of and visitors to the District with the following objectives in mind:
To provide the best possible protection to the residents of the District and the surrounding communities under the Mutual Aid Plan and as set forth in the Standard Operating Guidelines of this department.
To provide fire protection, fire inspection and fire safety education and Emergency medical response services to our community.
To foster interest in all matters pertaining to the volunteer service and to promote the welfare and social advances of all volunteer firefighters.
To inculcate love of country, good citizenship, civic virtue and self sacrifice, and to perpetuate the spirit, which from the early days has actuated volunteer firefighters in the rendition of service of the highest type in the protection of life and property from fire without hope of fee or reward.
To promote the improvement and advancement of the districts community and its residents.
In closing, we are always wanting and NEEDING volunteers to build a better future and create the advancement we so desire. All training will be provided free of charge by the department and embody oneself with a set of skills and training that just might save a life.
