I would choose zero stars if I could. Please be aware of the terrible customer service and poor quality of the clothes at this store. Don't purchase unless you are ok being stuck with a defective item after just a few wears. I purchased I pair of Jeans in March, and absolutely loved them. They were over $70, but I do my part to shop local and avoid large fast-fashion companies. Unfortunately, the seam between the waistband and the leg ripped open after wearing it just a few times. I only had it for about a month and washed it once. I brought it back to the store, and after checking the item, the associate offered to take it in and fixe it with their tailor. I picked it up, wore it once, and the seam ripped again, just a little further than it had the first time. I brought it to my personal tailor, who opened it and told me it was a manufacturing issue. When they fixed it, they should have opened and reattached the whole waist-band, but only stitched over it. I took photos, and left it with her to fix. I stopped at Irene's Story to let them know what had happened, and asked if they could cover the the repair fee, and they were absolutely rude and inconsiderate about it. Now here's the thing: they have a 2-weeks return policy for exchange only!, and I didn't have my receipt anymore. I understand it is tricky, but offered to show them my credit card statement to prove the item was purchase there. After telling me that the first associate should have reclaimed the item to send it back to the manufacture and offered a full refund, they said that they couldn't do anything about this. I asked if I could then return the item and get refunded, but past the 14-days policy, they wouldn't do anything. I spoke to a manager on the phone and she was rude, condescending, and could only say it was my fault for not bringing it in earlier meaning within two weeks, which I can only hope the life-cycle of a piece of clothing is longer than that! Here's what rubbed me the wrong way: this is clearly a manufacturing issue, and not the store employees fault. But as a store, you have a reputation to preserve, and if your manufacturers are poor quality, so is your business. They were very clear that they think it is ok for an item to brake after a few weeks, and they it is not their problem given their policy. While I thought I was purchasing a higher price, and higher quality pair of jeans, it is in fact worse than most fast-fashion brands, and they get away with insane markups because people think they are a small business. I am a fashion designer so I understand garment construction. This was simply poorly done and they should have taken accountability and offered a solution to show that this is not what they stand for as a business. I am a customer who not only spent over $180 in one transaction, I drove 25 minutes to get there when the item first ripped, and had to go back a second time after it broke again, because it they poorly repaired it. I take the time to see if we can work together, and them not even accepting to cover the repair fee of $30 speaks volume about who they are as a company and the quality they stand for. They have no problem knowing that a customer will never return because of the poor clothing quality and customer service, rather than working on a case by case scenario to offer satisfaction. Save your money and go to William B across the mall. Much better quality and customer service.
Love the clothes, affordability, and service of this store but they should really update their hours on Google. I thought they would close at 6 so I got there at around 5:15, but said they closed at 5. Quite inconsiderate for those traveling from far...
The customer service is terrible. Will never shop here ever again. The Huntington Beach location is way nicer.
Looks like most boutiquey women's clothing vintage hippy earth goddess stores - but they have couches - multiple - for us guys to sit and wait. A+
