What a magical place to find history of this beautiful island. Love the way this little place is set up. Very interactive and children friendly. The staff are so friendly and they are very happy to answer any questions that you have. Can't wait to come back. Also their gift shop is really adorable with a lot of reading material and books about the island and the history.
This is such a cool museum! There are mammoth bones and tusks as well as part of a tree that is over 100,000 years old! Lots of local history that encompasses the local indigenous people and their culture. The museum is free but they do take donations.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree

The Island County Historical Museum was excellent for the whole family. With exhibits ranging a wide variety of topics there was something for everyone in the family. Local artist spotlights and local history are a great way to get to know the town.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entryFree
A well designed museum displaying artifacts, pictures and stories of the early settlers, both English and Native Americans, of North Whidbey Island.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Quaint local museum. Free in June. A nice mix of area history going back 120,000 years. The film about Sunnyside cemetery was really interesting. Make sure to stop by there next. Make sure you go downstairs to see the native American displays.
Had a great time looking through this museum on a day trip we took here. Spent over an hour looking thru this place learning about the area. Should definately check it out.
A larger museum than it appears from the outside. I particularly liked the basement display that showed how glaciers have created what Puget sound looks like today.
Wonderful museum showing the history of the Puget Sound islands with special exhibits such as the art of the indigenous peoples, and the Water Festival. Staff were very informative and helpful.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
