My brothers and I have an elderly protection order signed by a king county judge that is supposed to be protecting our vulnerable step father. King county turned it over to the jurisdiction that the elderly man lives in Issaquah and it's almost like they refuse to serve it. I'm Way Beyond frustrated!
Asian American here. This department pulled me over for 'failure to signal' or 'rolling stop' multiple times, all of which are BS. I now have a dashcam to protect myself. I'm a young Asian in a Nice Car, zero speeding tickets in 16 years, no accidents. This police department is racist against Asians. Especially an older, bald officer will remain unnamed - not sure if he still works there.
Typical, useless police department. Filed complaint after multiple homes in our neighborhood were robbed. Cars broken into and packages stolen. Police showed up, took a report, and said there was no investigation. They don't care. Over the years I've had my car broken into 3 times, another stolen, significant home theft, and been assaulted. Never once has ANY police department cared or done anything besides taking a report. Nothing has ever been investigated. After my truck was stolen, the cops had fingerprints and the name of the person. They did NOTHING except say there wasn't sufficient evidence. Fingerprints are not enough?? Unless the amount is over $5000, they flat out don't give a damn. Just another typical, worthless police department. I HATE this area and am moving out just as soon as I find a new place. If you look at the reviews, one of them gives 5 stars because her husband/boyfriend is a cop. That's her entire reason. Even my landlord, who has lived in this area for more than 30 years, has said they are useless. They don't investigate or follow up on crime. I've found most police departments worthless and unwilling to investigate any problem unless it is a major crime. There are significant drug thefts in the area. Our neighbor is a heroin addict who was stealing. Landlord reported him to the cops. They didn't do anything. Issaquah police don't give a damn. Every day I fear my truck being broke into again. Drugs are a big problem in the area, but in my experience, cops only look for out themselves, if you become a victim, that is your problem.
So I went in to apply for my CPL and the woman at the counter said I'd have to go to a different place and she could look up the hours for me, then I was like cool thank you and she just looked at me, then I asked if she could help me look into it like she said and she said "go do that on your own time" with a smug look. I try my best to like government and law enforcement but they just make it so hard. On the other hand I saw an officer help some people do a scavenger hunt yesterday when I went in so that was cool!
I wasn't locked up that's why I give 5 stars. I was picking someone up. They were very nice to this person they had a FTA because of the bad snow we had at the time of court. Plus a jerk friend decided after committing to get person to court backed out at last minute. Good friend NOT !!! Kelly From Monroe
Where to begin? I suppose I should start by saying these cops will go after your children if they look under 21 for any reason. They are horribly sexist and useless and drive around like they own the streets. A few months ago my friend's tires were slashed and this wasn't her car, so she was hysterically crying feeling so bad for her parents and such. The officer helping us says to her "have you taken your meds today sweetie?" What blatant disrespect, especially for a victim. Then he goes on to explain that we sign our witness reports because "90% of the people lie on them therefore I don't trust the other 10%". Yeah, tell your victims of a crime that BS. Trying to ask a cop a legitimate question about noise complaints because this idiot family decided to buy a house RIGHT NEXT to a park and all they say is "you kids need to be quiet while playing" I have never been pulled over, I openly try to have comfortable conversations with the police yes they terrify me, good job IPD in your pointless SUV patrol cars. We live in Suburbia with half of us being 1%ers and they blast you with questions. I was unlucky enough to have one of call in over the radio by my full name that I hate the police. Yes, the entire department that night was alerted that I hate the police. I pull up again to ask if they've seen my friends, and what does the other cop say? "Is that the kid that hates the Issaquah Police?" Then on Christmas Eve, at three oclock in the morning, my friend's family and I are rudely awaken because the cops were snooping around my house because I left the garage door open. Unless they went into the garage, there is no way they could tell the door leading inside the house was open, therefore they mustve been snooping inside my house. The dispatch is no help. It would be easier to ask Siri for places than give them a mailing address for the cops or ambulances to show up. A five minute drive away took 15 minutes to explain to dispatch. Which if I might add, gives you the run around if it isn't a violent crime. Half an hour on the phone speaking to King County Sheriff's Department, Washington State Highway Patrol then right back to IPD before they sent over an officer to review the crime. If you are not being stabbed to death I would say dealing with this police department is a waste of time. They won't help you or comfort you in anyway. They are not family friendly or have you in their best interests. The Issaquah Police are without a doubt the most useless waste of tax revenue ever; to pay for those gas guzzling SUVs in a rich town. If I could sue for emotional distress, I would.
This review is for the Issaquah City Jaill, also known affectionately as Hilton Issaquah Suites or Issaquah Daddy Day Care. People have been known to pay up to $140 per day to be able to servce their time here. I've styaed at the Suites on two different occasions, for 30 and 45-day stays. Yes, it is hands down the place to serve short time. The most significant difference compared to other jails is the food - quantity and quality. Most meals served are Airway Heights TV Dinners, which many jailbirds will agree is the best mainline for jail in this area. Often the trays are also served with extra bread, desserts, milk, etc. There is also cereal for many breakfast meals which include two big bowls of brand name cereal and two milks. Even the sack lunches are worth mentioning. Actually tasty and filling sandwich kit that includes 4 pieces of bread, 2 thick slices of meat, 2 slices of cheese, condiments like mayo and mustard, 2 Uncrustable PB & J sandwiches, 2 chocolate brownie muffins, 2 milks, a cookie, chips, apple and juice packets. For comparison, a sack lunch from SCORE jail comes with 2 prices of bread, one slice of thin bologna, an orange, a no-bake sugar free cookie, and some drink mix from the 1930s with no cup. Although there is no regular commissary at the Suites, there is a vending machine with SODA! and many different sweets and snacks available. Wasting, or even getting picky with food is unheard of in jail, and the Suites will spoil you in that sense. Some other benefits include small, 10-12 man dorms, available TV/radio almost anytime, access to payphone almost anytime, actual stalls and doors for the toilets, privacy curtain for shower, in person visiting instead of video chatting and plentiful hot water. The 2 drawbacks with the Suites is the schedule, and the lack of any additional support. With so much free time seeing the same few people all day in the small space makes for a really boring time. Also, their medical capabilities are extremely limited. So if you have to serve some short time and don't require any special attention, I definitely recommend asking to be sent here. If you have to anything more than a few months however, or you need to stay on a specific medication, I would probably prefer a larger jail. Here is a picture of my fellow patrons and I, taken from my Issaquah Jail issued iPhone.
When I was in an accident the responded very quickly. They were genuinely concerned about me after I was hit and made me feel at ease. Thank you!
Thank you issaquah police. You deal in protecting and saving lives.I want to thank you for the non emergency things like children's lost books on Rainer Trail. You are so appreciated. .
