Central Academic Advising (CAA) provides advising information to the general ISU student population, specifically sophomores, undecided, transfer, and probation students.
Central Academic Advising (CAA) is available to any student who needs assistance with successfully navigating their ISU experience. Specifically, CAA assists sophomore level students, undecided students, transfer students, and students on Academic Probation with helpful information regarding academic resources, course options, retention initiatives, university policy, procedures, and regulations, and university activities.

MISSION STATEMENT
The office of Central Academic Advising provides Freshmena and Undecided Sophomores access to informed and experienced Academic Advisors who employ developmental principles to educate, guide, and encourage students in their efforts toward achieving realistic, useful, and desired academic and personal goals.
ACAD 4450 (peer advisor program), The Advisor publication, Freshman Fundamentals of Advising and Registration (FFAR) program, Transfer Fundamentals of Advising and Registration (TFAR), Students Taking Academic Responsibility (STAR - Probation online workshop), Be Advised! campaign, and Majors and Minors Fair.
