J Chesterfield Gym & Fitness Center

Excellent gym and workout place. The place is clean, not too crowded and had array of equipments. The basketball court, indoor and outdoor pool and variety of aerobics, spinning classes make it real fun place to be. We tried two nearby similar facilities: Y and chesterfield athletic club and this is far superior place! Also has a children corner where you can leave the young ones in good care.

Best equipment, best community of members / environment inside the gym space, and the friendliest owner who makes everybody feel like family! I love this gym and always enjoy my time working out here! 10/10 recommend for anyone and everyone in the STL area!

I have never been a fan of the gym, but the class atmosphere and the encouraging words from the other campers as well as the trainers just keep me coming back.

Love the J. Variety of classes are excellent. Susan S teaches Cardio Pump and does an excellent job motivating everyone and gives a great workout. Laina teaches spin and is a fabulous instructor. She educates and challenges you throughout the class. So happy they are instructors with the J. Please don't leave!!

Unlike the YMCA and the Lodge of Des Peres, the J provides towels Large Ones, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, etc. The water pressure that comes out of the shower heads is simply amazing. Literally your cleaned from head to toe within 2 minutes. The hospitality is great! The employees are respectful and let you relax. They don't bother you and are not overbearing. The locker rooms are nice with TV's inside. Place is great and compared to the others the price for membership is around the same. I'm surprised they don't charge more $$$ because they are well above the YMCA and others.

I have belonged to the J for over 8 years and always when I come in the gym at night it is reserved and they have some stupid event going on when I’m just trying to come up and work on my basketball game. They promised us a court would always be available to members just trying to practice or play and use however this is not the case and there are countless times, actually on a weekly basis where I have driven all the way to the gym only to leave because the entire gym is reserved by someone or some actual game going on. Please change.

What a pleasure to visit the J!! My mom is a member and I came in as a guest I live out of town. The facility is super clean and the equipment is well maintained and current. I took a spin class with Alana that was every bit as challenging and fun as the Peloton rides I usually do from home. I couldn't have been welcomed more warmly by Stacy the receptionist, Alana, and the other members taking the spin class. Great experience. I wish I lived in St. Louis so I could join!!!

I am happy with the service and ambience of the facility but certainly NOT happy with the way JCC keep charging despite I emailed twice Nick and visited membership manager in person to cancel my membership. I am requesting JCC to add the feature in their app to manage the membership.

My transgender sister tried getting in, but the old lady at the front desk misgendered her, and refused to let her in. Terrible front desk service with the rude old lady. Now my sister suffers from clinical depression. I gave them 1 star because the place looked nice, but my sister is now sad and does not get to experience her first ever time visiting a gym.
