Just got home from Jack Hughston hospital, were I had a complete knee replacement. From the start, I was treated with the up most respect. They was so kind and took care of our very need. I must say, if I could give everyone a 5 star, I truly would. I couldn't have asked for no better service than what we received. A job well done. You receive 5 stars from me.
The reception staff were excellent. When I walked up to the front desk, she took my name and info and asked me to sit in the waiting area. A few minutes later a woman took me into a room and processed my information and got me administratively ready for my CT scan. I returned to the waiting room where I expectantly awaited my appointment. The appointment was at 1230, at 1250 I went back. The three individuals behind the partition were carrying on a conversation that was VERY distracting something you might hear in a middle school gym class. That seemed a little unprofessional to me and I left completely unamused and frustrated with the whole ordeal.
Awesome Staff and in my opinion the hospital is really amazing. My mother went in for a knee replacement Dr. Ruark and from the moment we entered was great. The lady receptionist was very friendly and knowledgeable of the policies and gave clear instructions. The nurses on the 2nd and 4th floor were amazing. Thank you for taking good care of my mother Jack Hughston.
Dr. Watson and his entire staff did a great job! I had a total ankle replacement due to an injury that caused extreme arthritis in my ankle. My options were live the constant pain, fuse it, or replace it. Dr. Watson came highly recommended by my doctor and after meeting with him a few times, his confidence made my decision easy. The surgery went great. The Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital is a clean, professional, and super friendly staff facility. I even watched deer cross the road out of my window:- I am almost 2 weeks out of surgery now. There’s still some pain, but it’s getting better every day. Soon, I am confident, I’ll be walking normally and pain free again. That’ll really improve my quality of life and I am forever in Dr. Watson and his staff’s debt. Thank you! Brian Waller
Literally best experience ever!!! Dr. Conklin and his nurses listened to me and got me the answers I needed. My daughter had been sick for 2 whole weeks and everyone said it’s just common cold and just give my baby Benadryl. I took my baby to this hospital and they performed several test and x-rays to see what was wrong with my 1yr old… my baby had PNEUMONIA & Dehydration!! DR. CONKLIN & his team gave my daughter an IV & antibiotics and she was instantly feeling better! After 3 days of leaving the hospital my daughter is clear of pneumonia! I’m so glad I brought my daughter to this hospital.. they were patient, attentive, and caring!!! Left is before we saw Dr. Conklin, the right is 3 days after seeing him! Thank you guys for helping my baby!!!!
My husband went there a few days ago with an injured hand and the doctor stood at the door and said,” what’s wrong?” You can tell automatically by his expression he did not care. He never once looked at my husbands hand. He simply said,” you bruised it but I’ll order an X-ray.” He left the room and never came back. The discharge nurse came in, tossed his papers into his lap and said we are good to leave . We never seen the doctor. Never got the results of the X-ray. No mri or anything was offered ! no medication was given to him while there! We explained we did not think it was broke but something had torn! Needless to say, I would never recommend this hospital . I did not see one person who was friendly on that staff and I do not believe any patient should be treated this way. We are waiting for the results of the mri. This hospital should hope they did not let a patient leave injured without treatment and medication. I rather let this bill go to collections before giving this doctor a dime of our money. What a joke .
Went Sunday morning to have my shoulder checked out and the Dr. was not helpful. He walked in, stood at the curtain, stared at me irritated, and said “why are you here?” I proceeded to tell him what was wrong and he kept cutting me off saying ‘it’s a torn rotator cuff” without an mri, looking at my shoulder, or anything. Did X-rays and never got the results. Never saw him after that. I can tell the nurses were fed up with him. Most unprofessional ER visit I’ve ever had! UPDATE: The Dr was wrong as I suspected! Didn’t even listen to me as I gave him my symptoms. Was not a rotator cuff tear.
My husband went there March 4th for severe hip pain. The er Dr Ngone said he had a bruised contusion. He gave him pain meds and sent him home, mind u it took 3 of them to get him in the car for me to take him home. They kept giving him pain meds and my husband doesn't like taking any kinds of meds. The next day I had to take him to the er and piedmont at Northside said he had a broken femur. They had to do surgery. 5 and half months later and he isn't healed so now he has to have a total hip replacement. And they tell us it has to be done at jack Houston because that's were his dr does surgery. Awful doctor to have in er.
The nurse who took my vitals in the little room had the demeanor of “why are you here” or as if she’s being taken away from doing something else more important! When i told her what was wrong she looked at me like i was crazy!! Nurses were literally laughing and talking about patients and what they were dealing with at that time! I’ll never return to this place!
Stay away!! Thieves! They sent me a bill after telling me I was fine. This hospital chose not to notify me that I was out of network so they could charge me for services. They are even defending their right to do that as I call to try to address this. Now they are sending me bills and demanding payment.
