The Jackson County Mass Transit District was established to provide general public transportation services for county residents. Anyone is eligible to ride on the district's bus system.
To schedule a ride, please call the dispatch center before 5:00 PM at least 24 hours before the ride. For bus service on a Monday, reservations must be made before 5:00 PM on the previous Friday. It is strongly advised to schedule rides at least 24 hours advance!

General Public Fare Structure Policy
Purpose
The Jackson County Mass Transit District shall collect passenger fares, the purpose of such funds being to offset certain costs, to maintain a source of revenue to meet state and federal grant funding requirements, and to purchase certain capital assets not funded by other means. It is the goal of the JCMTD to set equitable and reasonable rates for passenger fares, while securing an adequate level of aforementioned revenues.

The JCMTD fare schedule shall be made available to the public via JCMTD website and social media announcements in both standard written format. Alternative formats including Braille and large print are available upon request.

MISSION STATEMENT
Jackson County Mass Transit District is a municipal corporation created by the Jackson County Board and has been in operation since August 12 1992. JCMTD is a general public mass transportation system that strives to provide safe, efficient and affordable transportation to the general public, including elderly and the disabled, with Deviated Fixed Routes (bus stops) and on a demand-response basis.
