Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney-Independence Office

Disgusting and racist DA refusing to prosecute an execution-style murder of a public servant. She is abusing the law and lying about what castle doctrine actually is. I truly hope she ends up reaping what she's sown, and I pray it is more terrifying than the event we've all seen on video.

Scared to even try to prosecute a woman who shot a man in the back after her boyfriend threatened him with a gun and was losing the fight. Just laying down and not even trying to make an effort to do what is right. She killed him and will go on without consequence. That is not justice and to lay it at the feet of the Castle Doctrine and not have the spine to even try is despicable.

Called to get information on my child support case. I spoke with Kathy in the prosecuting office to whom I assume looks over my case. She was very rude to me to say the least. She made me feel like it was a problem I was calling to check on the status of my case. It was my first time I've ever called to check on my case. My child support case was filled over a year ago. Not a good experience.

Will not prosecute lady who shot a firefighter in the back. Hope karma circles back around for you on that one.

It is what it is. I got in, paid what I had to pay, and left. The staff was friendly
