The Jackson Ambulance Service responds to emergency medical calls in the City of Jackson and parts of Jackson County. We currently operate 3 ambulances.
The Jackson Ambulance Service was founded in 1968 by the local VFW Post 900. Our Service is owned by the City of Jackson. We respond to approximately 600 medical/trauma calls and inter-facility transfers each year. We operate 3 ambulances, a 2009 and 2010 Chevrolet G4500 Type III Ambulance and a 2014 Ford F450, 4 wheel drive Ambulance. We currently have 23 EMT-Bs and 2 RN/EMTs. Some of our equipment include; Stryker Power Cots, Stryker Stair Chairs, Zoll X-Series Monitor/Defibrillators and Lucas II Mechanical CPR Devices. Our new Fire/Ambulance Station was built in 2012.
