I've spent tons of summers here hiking the trails here. Great for taking your dog for a walk or mountain biking in the back woods. Definitely gotta see it if you're looking for nature in Peterborough Picnic area: No tables, but the park around the pond is maintained if you wanna bring a blanket.
Really lovely forest trails to walk through, especially during fall. The rivers/creeks that run through the trail are delightful and a perfect spot for your pup to have a drink or a swim if you’re walking the dog. Parking can be a bit iffy, especially on a weekend, but otherwise, it’s fine. Lots of other mini trails all around the place if you look.
Very nature world, full of ancients trees and a great history... Amazing Nature Paradise... Dog-friendliness: Great to walk with you pet and jogging with your puppy and dog... Picnic area: Great for stand alone energy recovery place or come a long with families or friends to enjoy your lunch like in no other nature place...
The owner is a very nice person.we talked a lot with her The place is clean and confortable
Omg! It's such a peaceful place to let go off your stress. One can go pick either parkway trail or Jackson creek trail to embrace this beautiful hub of nature. I thoroughly enjoyed the calmness of the park alongside the beautiful lake.
Most of the bicycle path is slippery with frozen/semi frozen ice please wear appropriate shoes when walking along the creek/or bicycle path, in winter
Haven't been here in almost 20 years Absolutely loved it Great spot to hike or cross country ski We live in Barrie so don't get here much. I will make it a habit of coming back My dog loved it
Peaceful and well maintained! Not much parking available. 20 vehicles or so max. If you have respiratory issues, please be careful as the gravel road causes clouds of dust each time a biker passes by or if there's wind. Wasn't crowded therefore people don't tend to wear masks there.
Jackson Park has wonderful trails for walking and cycling, even skiing in winter. Lots of parking and friendly people! Though we visited in the pouring rain, the scenery is worth it!
My roommates and I live just down the road from here, we come all the time and love it. It's walking distance from most of Parkhill and Chemong, or from downtown. The trails are always groomed and there's both hills and flat ground. Would recommend for any time of the year.
