Our Army ROTC program is the host for Belhaven College, Millsaps College, Tougaloo College, Mississippi College, MVSU, and UMMC.
ROTC, which stands for Reserve Officers Training Corps.
Army ROTC is a college elective that teaches you the skills needed for a successful career. You’ll combine classroom time with hands-on-experience and learn leadership and management skills. At graduation you are commissioned as an Army officer to serve on active duty or with the Army Reserves or National Guard. Whatever you decide, the experience you’ll gain in Army ROTC will give you the confidence you need to be a success in college and beyond. Whether you choose to pursue a career in the Army or in the corporate world, Army ROTC is unlike any other college course you can take.
Along with great leadership training, Army ROTC can pay for your college tuition and provide money for books and other living expenses. ROTC also awards merit scholarships to hundreds of students each year. Qualify, and you could get a scholarship and monthly allowance worth up to $80,000 at some schools.
Mission
The U.S. Army Cadet Command selects, educates, trains, and commissions college students to be officers and leaders of character in the Total Army; instills the values of citizenship, national and community service, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment in high school students.
