Java City Bakery Cafe

This place is the bomb point blank. It brings back fond memories of mom bringing back fresh bread from this same exact bakery. Recently found out that they opened up a cafe as well which has their bread as well as many other options for dining. When you are excited to bring home some bread, you know it's super good!

I went to the Octoberfest for 2 years in a row. This year they had the best German potato salad I've ever had. I grew up in Germany in Neunkirchen. I also had 2 of the best desserts outside of Germany. The Black Forest and the pastry with the little black seeds. Sorry, I only know the German name. My friend loved the coconut one and she also raved about the potato salad. I'm in Sacramento but will drive there just for the potato salad. They close early so it's best to go before noon just to make sure you get what you want.

We always enjoy going here on the weekends, the pastries are really good. This place also has my all time favorite bagels.

Great German food, pastry, sandwiches and coffee. Good ambiance inside and out. Busy at lunchtime. Also some German canned foods for puchase. They are open for business, outdoor eating. Oktoberfest meal of bratwurst and Sauerkraut is available til the end of September.

Had an excellent lunch here! The cafe was busy on a friday during lunch but not crowded, and the workers seemed to know several customers by name which was nice to see. Most of the customers in front of me purchased whole loaves of bread with their order and I was temtped to do the same. I ended up getting a vanilla caramel latte that was excellent, and I also tried a chocolate covered cake with raspberry filling. The cake was very delicious and the filling was pleasant and added a nice light flavor. The star for me however was the tuna melt, it was a generously sized sandwich made with fresh baked bread and I was surprised by several rather large chunks of apple in the tuna that I was not expecting but it actually added a nice touch. Overall very satisfied and I definitely plan on coming back. It's located right next to the library which is convenient since there were lots of free parking spots available.

Always surprisingly good here. Been like this for the past 3 years I’ve been coming here whenever I’m in the area. The breakfast burritos are always cooked perfectly. The salmon lox and baked goods. They have outdoor seating if you like to bring a dog too. Plenty of parking too.

This cafe is awesome. Plenty of seating inside as it is huge. Coffee is great and reasonable priced. Has quite an array of food as well. Nice sized parking lot area around back.

I had a great experience! Fast service, a happy and polite demeanor from the waitress. I ordered a pretzel and the dragon fruit smoothie and I have to say the pretzel was perfect for a warm day, and the dragon fruit smoothie was out of this world DELISH!!! 5 stars, definitely going to come back!!

Local people and the owner is right there every morning alongside her employees making delicious sandwiches, bagels and a Dragon Fruit smoothie that will snap you into a healthy state of mind. Enjoy the patio or tables in the court yard and watch the locals get their fix of this wonderful bakery!
