Cupcakes, cookies and cakes...oh my! Made from scratch with fresh ingredients!
Hello! My name is Jazmin and I am owner/head baker of Jazzy's Sweet Escape. I graduated from the Le Cordon Bleu of Culinary Arts (formerly Texas Culinary Academy) Austin, TX in 2007.
Even from a young age, I had always been in awe at the detailed creativity pastry chefs had put into their work and the enjoyment people got from the delicious flavors. I, at some level, always wanted to have that ability over people, so in high school I studied the culinary arts. This is when I discovered that the savory side of cooking was not exactly what I wanted to do but the sweet was the world I wanted to be in. I did, however, learn basic knife skills and proper food handling techniques that I still put into practice now.
After graduating high school, I enrolled in the Pastisserie and Baking program at (what was then called) the Texas Culinary Academy. I enjoyed every minute of that learning experience from making baguettes by hand to intricate gum paste flowers. I have since made custom cakes and sweet treats for all those who inquire and continue to learn and grow my skills. Everything I produce is made with fresh ingredients, nothing is ever from a box. I look forward to further expanding my clientele and my portfolio.
