Store is old, very dated and neglected, the men's restroom is nasty, doesn't look like they clean it often, or updated it since 1990. One nasty stall and a urinal so high up no average height person can use it comfortably. This is the only JC Penny left besides the Orange Park location, spend some money to update the store to meet today's customer standards.
This had to be the best experience yet for me during Christmas time Anna in the jewelry department was so helpful and attention to the customer's and need was top notch Her alone is a very big welcome back for me If all the other associates are of her caliber i will definitely be doing more shopping here Job well done
Long lines, no inventory and not enough employees. Looked clean and put together but whom ever is the softline buyer did the minimum order. Only 3 toddler formal dresses and it's the first Saturday of December. This is not the place to buy children's formals any longer. BELK gets 2st place instead.
Most disorganized checkout and line system I’ve experienced. Cashiers with attitudes over their own issues just means shop elsewhere. Air is broken, purchase system is ancient.
Did my Christmas shopping there, the staff was friendly and their prices are decent for the quality of merchandise
This store is being remodeled as of October 2022 and will be significantly improved when the remodeling is complete. The store still had all the Penny's items and good prices.
I purchased an emerald ring and it was poor quality so found out you can only return if you take it to a store. They can send it to you but you can’t send it back you have to do it in person. Awful policy I will not order from them again.
I have gone to this location for their Big & Tall selection. The cashiers have been courteous. I even had a no hassle return. This location is well stocked, much more than other locations I have been to.
Nice selection and pretty clean. It's the nicest location in Jacksonville. Fitting rooms were not very clean. But the store itself is very nice. They have a Sephora mini store as well.
The last bastion of hope for department stores of old. They still have solid brands at great-value prices and variety enough for most shoppers' palettes. Recently bought four sharp polos at an average cost of $10 each. Walmart sells worse for more, and JCP is perennially more appealing to visit. My favorite JCP experience, however, involved my wedding. I was nigh to rent suits for my groomsmen when I stopped in to look at ties. I wound up buying all my groomsmen nice suits for the same price as the would-be rentals. The pants were already hemmed-- sold as separates-- so even with tailoring coats it was roughly equivalent to gaudy rentals. Long live JCP.
