The team here is kind and courteous! They took care of my moms funeral and cremation without any issue. It was all tended to with care and compassion. I had never had to do this before and they helped ease the stress while we were all grieving and just dealing with the sudden death of our loved one. I am grateful for their care and service.
Anthony and his colleagues were very helpful and supportive throughout the painful process of my mother's passing and arranging for the cremation and chapel services. I am very grateful to Anthony and his colleagues. However, at the outset when I first approached Schwartz I feel a better job could have been done in explaining all my options for the cremation process. I had to rely on my mother's nurse who asked me to ask all the questions concerning the details. But the Memorial service including the priest recommended by Schwartz was very moving as was the repast catered by a restaurant recommended by Schwartz. Also no one at Schwartz told me about scattering the ashes at sea. It was my mother's nurse who mentioned that and only then Schwartz was kind enough to provide the contact number. They should have mentioned this option or other options for scattering ashes.
When my mother died, my first call for funeral services was Schwartz Brothers. They handled my father's funeral in 2000 and my brother's in 1977. They have been part of the community for a very long time. Schwartz Brothers handled my mother's graveside service with empathy and efficiency. In the office, Harold was kind and responsive. Special thanks to Daniel who met us at the cemetery. He handled sensitive matters with kindness and, when the rabbi was late, patience. I am very grateful to all.
When I initially called I spoke with someone named Anthony I believe. I didn’t really like his attitude on the phone. When I let him know my mom passed away and I was looking for a funeral home he told me you guys were a Jewish chapel and suggested me to a smaller/“sister location” which was closer to Cypress Hills cemetery. I asked him do you guys also work with African Americans because I thought this referral was pretty odd seeing as I didn’t ask for any referrals or whether or not this was a Jewish chapel. Although I was taken aback by his engagement…..I was shopping around and wanted to visually see multiple locations so I came in the view the chapel. Thankfully, when I arrived the lady at the front desk told me Daniel would be assisting me. As the person I had originally spoken to was unavailable. I was pretty happy about this. Daniel was amazing to work with. He did not skip a beat and his customer service was perfect. He communicated with me via phone every step of the way which provided me with a lot of relief and confidence throughout the process. Daniel was off for 2 days and someone named Orlando and Ana followed up with me regarding things I needed to submit via email in his absence. Ana was very empathetic and even told me she’d help with getting me through the process even if I just needed someone to talk to. I felt her sincerity. While working with Daniel he made everything seamless. The only downside is that my mom did not look like herself at all. Truthfully I only knew it was my mom because of her hairstyle and she broke her finger nail the night before she passed away. Which was exactly the same. But I barely recognized the person in the casket. I am not sure if this was due to having a full body autopsy and draining all of the blood from her body plus the embalming. Or if the funeral home’s make up artist was simply terrible. Not sure what contributed to this. But she looked 100% different than her last day alive. If you are considering Schwartz Brothers-Jeffer Memorial please ask for Daniel. We had a lot of guest and filled up the first floor chapel which is pretty large - and Daniel did not skip a beat. We had maybe 30+ cars come to the cemetery and Daniel helped to gather everyone in the rain and follow his lead as he drove the hearse. He did a great job assisting me before, during and after the service. It was also raining and nasty outside on the day of the funeral/burial and Daniel was still very patient and attentive. He also stayed until my mom’s casket was lowered and handed out flowers for everyone to put on top of her casket.
Everyone at Parkside was very compassionate & extremely helpful. I had never dealt with a situation as I was faced with my mother passing away suddenly, and everyone I interacted with walked me through everything. I was happy with the service & loved the Rabbi they had for us. Thank you.
It was a tough time and experience to loss our Mom. However, Parkside rose to the occasion by helping us meet all of our needs and at the same time comforting. Everything ran so smoothly and the staff were so helpful ,Eric especially. The graveside was beautiful and the Rabbi was wonderful and comforting. The Limousine driver was very nice and made the rides less stressful. Thank you Parkside for making a stressful and sad time , one that ran smoothly and respectful of the deceased and their.
I have been using Cleaning Pass for my weekly house cleaning for the past year and I have been extremely satisfied with the service. The team is punctual, professional, and does an excellent job with the cleaning. My house always feels fresh and clean when they are done. I highly recommend them.
I had a wonderful experience working with Eric Anderson the funeral director. He helped me at such a difficult time with preplanning my dad's funeral and it all went smoothly when dad passed.I highly recommend Schwartz Brothers funeral home.
My and my family's experience with the Forest Park chapel of Schwarts Brothers-Jeffer Memorial Chapels is of great appreciation of their professionalism and competence as we said goodbye to our family member. Eric guided throughout the entire process once we selected them and the other personnel worked as a seamless team. They did everything they could to allow our family to mourn and remember without having to deal with anything not absolutely needing our attention. I will gladly recommend them to anyone.
When I realized my mother was close to death, I dreaded going to a funeral home by myself. Then I realized I could do everything online. I contacted Schwartz brothers and picked out the casket online. They could not have been nicer and more supportive. The rabbi that they sent was absolutely incredible. Everyone at the funeral felt the same way. They made a horrible situation better
