2.8 rating?!!! HAHAHAHA. I hope someone with POWER SEES THIS! That 2.8 is oh too kind for what I witnessed tonight. Tonight was beyond disgraceful. To the nurses in triage who didn’t help a SOUL, in the emergency room, those boards must’ve gotten easier, there was ZERO COMPASSION showed. As a by stander I witnessed, a pt being put into a wheelchair unlocked he is obviously impaired of vision, FIRST RED FLAG, there is an combative pt screaming and making all other ill pts worse, 14 pts with more than 20 beds in the back…, nurses telling pts they’ve been there longest and no they don’t know when you’ll be seen TO YOUR FACE BLUNTLY, BLOODY tissue in the bathroom that another pt reported before 5pm and we even arrived, didn’t use the lavatory until 915, my biggest concern here is where is the safety for you patients? Literally watched five to six staff members in triage not do a thing! Accept come around with the same DIRTY DINA MAP to get different pt vital signs while still in COVID! But wait there’s more!!! An older woman fell outside! While they were all inside, by standers help and security staff to follow… NOW YOU CARE?! She was obviously waiting for a while. Along with the EXTREME LONG EMERGENCY ROOM WAIT TIME, if it was busy I’d seen AMBULANCES, they don’t have l&d so anything else can be put into units of the facility, why is the ER not moving? Who is doing morning team leads? This is beyond what I’ve seen or known for practices to practice. TJC & OSHA need in on this! Never would we return to this Emergency department to be treated as my fiancés life & plenty of other patients we socialized withs lives, were not treated with care, compassion within timely manner. No one NO ONE not even a doctor can tell you if your in EXCRUCIATING PAIN ! They didn’t even treat FHX cva pts with symptoms with urgency what a disgrace! Everyone must be on vacation.
Came in late November, 2021. Check in was easy and quick. I was immediately taken back where they assessed me and gave me a wristband. Waited in the waiting room for no more than 10 minutes before I got a room. Really long wait to be seen in my room with mainly nurses gossiping outside but the treatment wasn’t too bad. The only reason why I was seen on time was because we complained. A nurse was rude to us at one point too. Came in at 3am and left at 8am.Doctors examined me well and made me feel comfortable.
After my recent stay at Jefferson Torresdale I have nothing but good things to say about it. Was seen after a reasonable wait. Nurses were kind and efficient, especially Jackie. Tim Burke what a compassionate young man Endoscopy nurse should be wearing a halo. To all the doctors, nurses, techs and aides thanks.
Horrible experience. Sat in the ER for 3 hours without being seen. Had other people come in after me, in less pain, get called back before me. Watched a guy in a wheelchair fall in the floor in pain and staff just stepped over him. Disgusting, dirty, rude, the epitome of the horror movie hospital. And after 3 hours of nobody seeing me, I left in disgust. Now they have the audacity to bill me over $1000 for literally nothing! Nope.
I can't believe this place. My brother fell in the shower and said he might have fractured a rib or something so we went to the hospital. They pretty much saw him within 30 minutes which was a pleasant surprise and I was thinking of leaving a great review but unfortunately after the xray it took 6 and a half hours for the results of the xray. A doctor could have just looked at his results and sent us on our way! We had to sit there and risk covid and other illnesses when literally they could have just looked at our results to see if we could leave. 7 am now and we initially were going to wait for an urgent care to open up since it's cheaper and supposedly faster to be seen but he was in great pain and it was 12 midnight and urgent care opens at 8am so figured that was way too long not to get any answers but at this point we might as well have waited for an urgent care. I'm so upset by this experience. I will NEVER go to an ER again unless I'm bleeding out and dying. I am so upset because the kicker is after all this waiting they just to told us that they don't have radiologist overnight so they will call if they see anything and that regardless of a broken rib or not, the only thing he can do is take some pain meds. That would have meant we could have left hours ago. They could have just told us all of this hours ago. Seriously save money and go to an urgent care if you can. This was so horrible.
Literally no one in the waiting room. They said there are no rooms available. I saw at least three patients come out. Why am I still waiting after six hours? These nurses were quick to admit me and check my vitals. I’ll give them that.
If I could give a 0 I would. Expect to wait AT LEAST 7 HOURS to even be seen by a doctor.....if you are lucky. There are never rooms available, doctors come out into the waiting room providing false hope that things will be opening soon and then you sit another few hours. If you happen to come in later in the afternoon, expect to sit until the following morning when the new shift comes in. If it were a true emergency you would die before even being seen.
This hospital is terrible. My husband was in there on a couple occasions, sent from the skilled rehab center he resides. On several occasions I have gone 2 and 3 days at a time just trying to get someone to answer the phone. It didn’t matter if it was information desk or nurses station . Reported to patients advocate as well as nursing supervisor and nothing done. The operators are, not all but most when they do answer seem like your disturbing them. How can you check on your loved one when you can’t talk to anyone. Some of the nurses seem to not know info on the patients or they say they will call you back and never do. These things would NEVER happen at the University of PA. I’ve asked the rehab to not send him there, but was told if they feel it’s an emergency they will send him here. This entire hospital needs to be overhauled immediately. If you compare the advertisement of this place to real life ... it’s definitely an un truth . Avoid at all cost if possible.
This hospital is so under par! Between the ignorant staff to the outrageous wait times. Not to mention how dirty the waiting room is. I would rather take my chances at home than ever come back here again. Totally disgusting and uncalled for. People come here because they don’t feel week, not to be made to feel worse. I may be changing everyone of my Jefferson affiliated doctors. This will eliminate me ever having to feel compelled to have to come here again. I would not bring my dog here
My mother is there for surgery right now. She went in because she fell at home and couldn't walk. So they xray her and tell her she's fine nothing broken, nothing fractured. Then my mom FALLS at the hospital. Apparently they do another xray, a better one I guess. And they find she fractured her hip. But they saying it might not have been from the fall at the hospital . THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU SEE IT IN THE FIRST XRAY! that whole second fall could have been avoided if they had done their jobs right the first time and was more concerned with her original fall. Also, don't get me started on the fact they quarantined her belongings and I was told to go pick them up. I go to pick them up, the bag can't be located. My mom's phone and cash can not be located? That hospital is shady. I'm sorry, but worse experience with any hospital. Ever. And my mom's been in a lot of them.
