About
Celebrating 90 Years of Serving our Community, Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, Funeral Home and Crematory has been family owned and operated since 1929.
Description
Harry C. Neel, founder of Jefferson Memorial Park, envisioned and designed Jefferson with memorials flush with the ground to mar the beauty of the sweeping lawns and towering trees. Incorporated in 1929, the cemetery was constructed on a parcel of land that had been the Snee Family Farm. Mr. Neel named his new cemetery, Jefferson Memorial Park after Thomas Jefferson whom he greatly admired.
It has always been the vision of our chairman, John D. Neel, to build a funeral home on the grounds of Jefferson Memorial Cemetery. That desire was fulfilled on September 1, 1993 when Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home opened it's doors.
