The Jennings Lodge Community Planning Organization (CPO) is run by community volunteers - our neighbors and friends – and recognized by Clackamas County.
What are Community Planning Organizations (CPOs)?
While cities have their own ways to involve citizens, volunteer community planning organizations are a way for the many communities that aren’t in cities to have a voice in what is happening, or proposed, that affects the livability of their neighborhoods. The county notifies CPOs of proposed land use actions and legislative changes within or near their boundaries. CPOs may review the applications and provide recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners and County staff. In addition, many CPOs work on other matters of importance to their communities, and according to the County’s citizen participation policy, may create neighborhood plans and proposals.
