BUYER BEWARE, We booked tickets for the Aerial park and my eleven year old daughter got overwhelmed after 15 minutes, so she came down. When she wanted to try it again all the workers were too lazy and could not be bothered to re-harness her. A park is supposed to be a happy place for kids to have a good time, and not even one of the employees could find room in their heart to be nice to a young kid. We paid for a 2 hour slot and got 15 minutes. So, just know there are no good Samaritans among the employees at the Aerial park .Warn your kids!
Great mountain with plenty of wide open trails. Perfect for beginners or more experienced riders too. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly including JP, the instructor who provided lessons. Dan in the repair shop came through when my son's binding broke. And Lisa in reservations helped with some minor lodging hiccups that were quickly resolved. The cabin we stayed in was dated, which is a shame since it could be really great with a little TLC and update. Overall though, excellent communication with the owner/maintenance not sure who's on the other end of the texts to get any issues resolved quickly. Looking very forward to returning and highly recommend this mountain.
This place, I would recommend very highly. We stayed in the private cabin area. It was absolutely beautiful. They do need some updates, by all means. In my opinion though, it was great. Nothing you can not deal with, it was beautiful.
If I could, I would give Jiminy zero stars. My son was skiing there today and went in to eat a quick snack. When he came out his skis were stolen. He went to talk to security and they had him fill out a missing/lost ski report. I called Jiminy and asked if they had cameras to which they said yes and no they don't really work. Turns out when I called the local police department the person who answered the phone told me the same thing happened to her last year. She advised I call the State Police. After talking with them they said it happens a lot at Jiminy. He wasn't surprised. I would highly recommend you don't ski here. There's a good chance you'll have your stuff stolen. I've been skiing over 30 years all around the Northeast and never had anything stolen. So disappointed in Jiminy, don't ski here. Ski gear isn't cheap and they obviously don't care about the security of their guests.
Love this mountain. They offer night skiing, which is great since it fits my schedule. Plenty of trails, fun runs. Lots of icy patches, but that’s east coast skiing.
We originally bought passes for both parks but the Aerial park was closed. The park contacted me to set up the refund, no problem. We arrived and immediately headed for the Alpine Slides, loved it!! Then onto the Mountain Coaster, Scenic Chair lift, big swing and Soaring Eagle. The only disappointing portion of our entire visit was our lunch at Christiens Tavern that was overpriced and terrible!
My family and I will never stay here again after finding out how horrible you treat your employees. You cannot change because you WILL NOT change. File for bankruptcy and close your doors forever. Also, Mark should never be in a management position ever again.
Skiing was fine but I put my skis on rack for a couple of minutes at end of day and they were stolen. Be on your guard and lock up skis. Hopefully they catch the persons and the resort does something to deter theft.
Jiminy Peak is a huge part of my family's story telling. We have so many fond memories of the place. After losing some family, we decided to take a trip down memory lane. In our memories Jiminy will stay because this place is sorely mismanaged and the staff is nothing but jerks.
Me and my niece bought 4 kids for the Christmas/Winter break. I will preface this review with snow and winter sports are nor my idea of fun. A winter vacation to me is somewhere warm but it was for the kids and made a great Christmas present! We only planned 2 days at Kids Rule Camp and it was an awesome time. The staff was friendly, helpful, genuine and patient. We had lots of questions as we had never ski'd or snowboarder ourselves. They answered them all with smiles. This was a bucket list adventure for our kids and it was wonderful! The instructors aged 14+ are knowledgeable and patient. By the end of day 1s lessons my son was confident enough to get on the smaller hill and ski alone. Our kids aged 10-13 all moved from red level to yellow agter one day. Lunch is included in the Kids Rule camp and it's was the most affordable program in the area. It's also all day 6 hours including lunch. We will be back for more lessons and fun. We plan to stay longer next time too! Doesn't seem to be a lot to do in the area but there are some resorts that have pools and activities. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort but that's a separate but just as nice review. Next trip we will do 3-4 days.
