jinny loves a distinct point of view
jinny, a women’s designer boutique destination founded by L.A. fashion industry transplant Jin H Fillinger, marked its launch on August 19, 2006 in the heart of the Short North neighborhood of Downtown Columbus, OH.
Finding a lack of aspirational boutiques in Columbus to satiate her fashion pangs, Jin developed jinny in the creative and burgeoning Downtown market to give women with similar frustrations an outlet for their sartorial enthusiasm.
Providing a highly edited seasonal collection of emerging and established upper crust designers of apparel, accessories and footwear both globally and domestically, as well as one-off limited edition and vintage treasures to local fashionistas for accessible, yet compelling merchandise, jinny caters to confident women aged 25-65 who “follow fashion and love honing their style accumen” says Jin. “Opening this shop was my dream come true,” she says. “Columbus is a young and growing city and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect for the launch of our boutique concept 8 years ago. We’ve been so inspired by the support we’ve received since our launch.”
The vibrant 1,200 sq. ft. shop, formerly located at 844 N. High St., houses collections from such coveted worldwide names as The Row, Rick Owens, Acne, Maison Martin Margiela, Proenza Schouler, Givenchy, Yigal Azrouel, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang, Avant Toi, Faliero Sarti, and VPL, to up-and-comers like Aurelie Bidermann, LD Tuttle, NewbarK, Common Projects, Veronica Beard, ATM Tees, Hellessy, Edun, Ancient Greek Sandals, Iosselliani, R13, and many more.
The shop will be expanding to a larger location at 962 N. High St, summer 2014, adjacent to Mukha Spa and Camelot Cellars in the Short North.
