John D. King , M.D. is a graduate of Northwestern University and Northwestern University Medical School. He performed his surgical residency at Baylor Hospital in Houston, Texas and finished his orthopedic training at USC/LAC Orthopedic Surgery Program. Dr. King has completed Fellowships in spine surgery, hand surgery and pediatric orthopedics. Dr. King was the North American Scoliosis Research Society Traveling Fellow during 1970 and trained at hospitals throughout the United States and Canada.
Dr. King is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Orthopedics at the University of Southern California where he teaches pediatric orthopedics. He is the author of 17 orthopedic publications and he is quoted in many texts on orthopedic surgery. He has presented papers nationally and internationally on pediatric orthopedics. Dr. King brings many years of experience in the management of pediatric problems. He specializes in such areas as scoliosis surgery and computerized bracing.
