My 2 therapist's Denise and Al are incredible. Have been so helpful since my surgery. They are always on time and keep me updated when they are on their way to see me. Always making suggestions for me to improve my pain and mobility. They are very knowledgeable, caring and listen.
For 4 days no one has responded in regards to reordering my sons equipment. Phone lines apparently had a problem Monday. Sweet lady keeps taking my messages and promises a call back. Nothing! We are now out of supplies. The service has been slipping over the last 6 months. I have made 15 calls to them this week, some to the direct line with no answer some to the sweet girl. Ridiculous! I’m getting a new prescription and finding another supplier!
If your doctor advises you that this company will be providing your medical equipment, I would strongly recommend that you request another company. All of the comments about being on hold for extended periods are TRUE. Return calls are promised but are rarely received. One customer stated in the reviews that they were lucky enough to have a rep still work with them even though they were late. I was late due to being directed by the guard to go to the other end of hospital only to be informed that I was in the right place in the beginning. The rep who had my much needed ASV machine told me to reschedule. If the other comments are true about overbilling and out of stock supplies heaven help us. Now I need to decide between switching again or switch to another company not sure what is involved since they already obtained authorization for the equipment. I will update as I go.
For almost 5yrs my son received his equipment & supplies from this company. They were excellent. We had some difficulty getting specialty trachs covered but that was not their fault. I was able to advocate for that. They emailed me a list and each month called to ask what we needed. They RARELY forgot anything. In fact, I am applying to work with them because they were such a great organization. When my son's suction machine wasnt working they brought another immediately without any question. This was not my first company but it was certainly my last .The respiratory therapists were amazing. I would put my life in their hands. One really knew his stuff & made my son comfortable. Over the years, we had a few therapists but the one who was with us the longist taught me something almost every time he came to our house. Very good people who care.
Unreliable in every way. Very bad customer service, except for one supervisor, the rest should be fired. They will not fulfill the Doctor orders, they short supplies, they put in whatever they have, they do not take into consideration multiple wounds. The amount of supplies is based on 30 day supply for a single wound, regardless of the patients medical condition. They do not follow-up, they do not want to be bothered. They do not want you as a client. Very bad, we are currently looking for another company.
Do not use Johns Hopkins Pharmaquip or Johns Hopkins Home Care Group. Weeks ago the woman on the line told me that she had successfully updated my address and insurance information and that she placed an order for replacement supplies to be delivered to me. Weeks later I had yet to receive a confirmation email or a package. When I called to follow up, I spoke with Shavon, a different woman, who told me that my address and insurance had never been updated and that no order was ever placed. When I tried to place the order, she told me that, because I was on new insurance, I would need to see my doctor and get a new prescription before I could put the order on insurance. This was news to me and something that the first woman either didn't know or didn't tell me. I ended up paying $278 out of pocket because I needed the supplies ASAP. At the time I placed the order, Shavon did not tell me that I could find the same products online. She told me the supplies would arrive on Friday. Another woman named Jasmine told me today that the supplies should come by the end of the day. It is 5:30PM on Friday and no package has arrived. I just found the same products online for less than half the price. When I see my doctor I will be sure to ask whether I can get my insurance-covered supplies through a different company, because Pharmaquip/JH Home Care Group is a mess.
ABSOLUTE RIPOFF! The last 3 orders I have placed they seem to send whatever they want to get rid of and charge you for it. Some of the things I have received in the past were already opened and used. They're records, dates, and times are skewed for delivery and returns they won't take back. The billing department says "that's just the way it is with our policy and we charge you for it and send your account to collections if you don't pay." I would not recommend this place to anyone. Don't let the "Johns Hopkins" name they use fool you. You can get better service than this at Amazon!
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PROVIDER!!!! TOTAL RIPOFF!!!! 30 Days return policy on items but bills are sent after two months. $85 for mask cushions should be $30. So many more CPAP equipment providers that do not overcharge to this extent. Please look elsewhere.
I recently started on a CPAP machine because of severe sleep apnea. This organization has gone over the top to help get me get set up and a start to better sleep. I have called several times related to mask issues and every time all call I get excellent service. Everyone at this organization has been respectful, friendly and very very helpful. I just got off the phone with Kay and she was amazing. Keep doing what you do!!!!!
Big boy bed ordered. Told me no pressure relief mattress to fit it. Asked to switch to regular bed. Told me needed another order. I said forget it, just.bring the big boy bed and the regular antipressure pad. Then refused to give me a window of arrival time said driver would call me on Sat. Because pt in a king adjustable tempurpedic, explained needed addl people to help move.pt and to remove the current bed to another room. Paid movers to come and arranged for several friends to come and wait for them. Called pharmequip twice. First time did not call me back. Recalled an hour later. Called me back in 30". Still refused to give me a time window or contact driver. After much insistence they finally called dispatch. Got back to me with "they are loading it on truck now. " Had to keep questioning to figure out where it was coming from. Ended up that paid movers and friends all had to leave by 5 after waiting all day. Delivery showed up without a call from driver at 545 pm Have to pay movers to come back to assist. Totally unacceptable and unreasonable service! Driver doesn't do squat.to set up. Would recommend any other company!
