In the center of Tiffin, Jon's Ice Cream brings a home away from home feel. Serving a variety of ice cream treats and a menu full of delicious food.

Description

For more than 35 years, Jon's Ice Cream has been the best family friendly place to get a delicious meal and a variety of homemade ice cream treats! We are a seasonal restaurant, open beginning in March and closing for the season in November.

Come in for any of our menu items, like our famous hand-packed Breaded Tenderloin for lunch or dinner, and leave room for dessert like one of our locally named Clipper Whippers, a yummy way to cool off- made with our soft serve ice cream or yogurt with your choice of candy mix in!
Jon's offers a convenient walk-up order window, drive-thru or stay and chat in our cozy dining room or outdoor picnic tables.
For easy, fast and convenient service, Jon's also takes phone-in orders, so call ahead and place your order with one of our friendly staff members!

Also- Don't forget to call or come in to order a beautiful, customized Kris's Homemade Ice Cream Cake and baked goods for all occasions!

Chicken strip basket and cheese crisps, yum! Also had a s’more super whipper and it was 10/10! Quick and pleasant service.
I came out with some friends to visit the restaurant as I heard great things about it. When I walked up I overheard one of the managers or someone screaming at one of the employees. Poor kid was nearly crying, not worth it to eat there if that's how they treat employees. Wouldn't ever come back. Disturbing!
Tried Jon's for the first time to celebrate my birthday, and got the trashcan sundae. The customer service and wait time were great, and the ice cream was delicious. My family will definitely be back!
Placed an order for 2 burger BASKETS comes with fries paid $20 for 2 burgers and 2 fountain drinks....never got fries. When asked, the girl said "you didn't order fries". I said "I ordered BASKETS....they come with fries". Her response "you didn't pay for fries". To get the fries would've been another $5+. As orders were being called out, people were taking other people's orders....too much confusion!! Call out names, numbers, etc. Calling out from the menu, more than one person orders a cheeseburger!! Not happy with this experience!
Jon's ice cream is in a class of its own. I got the Snickers Whipper, it was fantastic as usual. Great place to take your kids in Tiffin.
This is a difficult review to write, but going to share my experience. The dining room at this facility is still closed, so we ordered from the window and ate outside. The food I would not recommend and would compare to bowling alley food. Now for the positives, the hand dipped ice cream was delicious. I sampled the flavor of the month. The kids who have less adventurous pallets had the vanilla and chocolate frozen yogurt and both had excellent flavor. They were out of waffle cones on the day we visited. The mint chip ice cream made an excellent shake on a hot summer day. For our future visits this will be a dessert only stop and there is nothing wrong with that.
Kinda bummed. Chocolate malt basically tasted like Hershey's syrup. No malt flavor, and was way runny. Could have probably passed his chocolate milk.
We saw an old sign on the road, it looked so old we thought for sure the place didn't actually exist anymore. But we were hungry and intrigued! After going a few miles with no further evidence of an ice cream/sandwich shoppe we assumed we were out of luck. Thankfully my husband looked up and saw the restaurant's sign as we were passing through an intersection. The building looked modern and quaint. Was this the shoppe the old sign intended to lead us to or was it just coincidence? We didn't care! We quickly turned around and drove back. It was a great day to sit outside so we got a couple cheeseburgers and fries and a sundae to split! The quality of food was incredible!!! We now want to try everything on the menu - and we're happy to make the 80 mile drive to do so! I'm also someone with a very sensitive stomach, especially with dairy products, and I was able to enjoy this sundae fully without feeling nauseated afterwards! What a great discovery while passing through. We shall be back!
Large selection. Busy place. Outdoor seating was open. Will gladly go back.
Great local place. Lots of options and great service with a smile. 10/10 recommend this place
