Joonbug Yoga was established in 2010 by traveling Yogini Michelle Pugh offering health and wellness services for overall balance of mind, body and spirit!
Michelle Pugh, owner of Joonbug Yoga and lead yoga instructor at Alderbrook Resort and Spa, is a traveling Yogini and 200 Hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) through Living Spirit Yoga R.Y.S. She has an additional 500 hours of certification through YogaFit®, Forrest Yoga® and Twist Yoga in various holistic practices including the Art of Yoga Nidra Meditation, Ayurveda on the Mat, Myofascia Release for Yoga and Wellness, Thai Yoga Bodywork, LaStone Hot Stone Bodywork and Usui Reiki. She established Joonbug Yoga in 2010 with a passion to blend her professional creative talents with health, wellness and community. Her diverse fitness experience comes from over 30 years of athletics, ballet and dedicated yoga training in Hatha, Yin, Bikram, Iyengar, Vinyasa and YogaFit® styles of yoga. Michelle's fitness classes blend creativity, strength, balance, flexibility and flow blooming straight from the heart!
She enjoys traveling to various locations throughout Washington State offering a diverse menu of creative services, yoga classes, workshops, events, continuing education for yoga teachers and yoga teacher trainings. Michelle teaches weekly yoga classes, private group sessions and wellness retreats throughout the year at Alderbrook Resort and Spa, Washington State Government agencies, the Olympia Golf and Country Club, Nisqually Tribe, Skokomish Tribe, Squaxin Island Tribe, the Salmon Center and other locations in Washington.

Michelle has over 9 years of teaching experience which led to sharing two successful 200 hour yoga teacher trainings (2014-2016). Joonbug Yoga was nominated for Business of the Year by the Shelton Mason County Chamber of Commerce in 2014 and highlighted in the Mason County Journal's Women in Business publication in 2017.
Her expertise in marketing and visual communication is rooted in her graphic design career. She graduated from The Art Institute of Seattle in 1998 and has been employed as a Senior Graphic Designer for the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission since 2001. Michelle previously worked for The Olympian Newspaper, The Tacoma News Tribune and Indian Country Today Newspaper and continues to design websites and print publications through her freelance business, Joonbug Graphic Design.
