Went to buy a basic blue suit for my son’s wedding.Due to limited supply I was shoe horned into a slim fit assured it could be altered to fit me. When I went to pick it up the jacket it was still tight and the pants tremendous. So weeks later I returned and the pants were fine but the jacket was unchanged. $400 later I have a completely uncomfortable suit for one of the most important occasions in my life. I will NEVER go back to Jos A Bank again! Thanks for the $400 pants….the only thing that fits!!
I was looking to buy a suit for my son and wanted to avail the ongoing sale. What a wonderful experience we had at Dedham location . Today, the store was short on staff and the manager was single handedly managing the entire store . He went above and beyond our expectations, helped us find the right fit within 20 minutes . The manager was polite, friendly and very professional . I highly recommend the Dedham location.
Called for a simple customer service question from a PREVIOUS issue that came up and the man on the other end essentially called me stupid. What is with this company do they hire only rude people?
Best Jos A Bank location! What a great team, specially the super friendly Ben; we always have great conversations and awesome experiences browsing suits and pants. They go above and beyond to find the correct sized items online from other stores nationwide if they don’t have them in stock and I always get them shipped to my home free and fast! They have a huge selection of coats and suits, dress shirts and pants almost always. We don’t even live near Dedham but we make sure to stop by every time we are in the area. Very personable and great customer service, good job guys!

I called ahead for a rush tuxedo rental and was told to come in and there’d be no problem. Drove all the way up to Dedham only to be turned away and told I’m crazy. Very rude customer service. Do not go here.
Went in for a walk in fitting. The manager was about to run an errand and dropped everything for me, and was an absolute pleasure in getting what I needed to done. Would recommend this store in a heartbeat.
I went in today to try to find a suit for my grandmother’s funeral. I haven’t bought a suit since high school, since I haven’t really needed one, but I wanted to get something for the service. When I walked in, I was asked what I was looking for, and I said I was looking for a jacket, but if they had any suits on sale I’d like to take a look. I was pointed towards the wall of sports jackets, no further offer to help. Like I said before, I haven’t bought a suit since high school, I have no clue what size I am. I couldn’t find the employee who pointed me towards the jackets, no one seemed open to helping, generally unwelcoming. I guess I maybe should’ve tracked someone down and asked to be sized, but I didn’t get the feeling that anyone was interested in helping me. I’m mostly writing this because if an employee of the store sees this, I hope in the future that they consider the reason someone may be buying a suit I don’t think my situation is all that unique, and maybe they offer to help if someone clearly has no idea what they’re looking for.
First and last experience with this company. I ordered a pair of shoes online and went to pick them up. “Rick” could not have been less helpful once I arrived at the store. He asked if I received a call to confirm that the shoes were ready. I said I hadn’t nothing online suggested that the shoes would not be ready just after they were ordered. He then said it would a “one to two hour wait,” and could barely be bothered to look up while relaying this. I opted to cancel because his attitude was so off-putting. Then I waited for an hour, on hold, with J A Bank to try and cancel before ultimately bailing and calling Rick directly. I do not recommend this place.
Dedham store seems to be seriously lacking in efficiency and customer service skills. I ordered something online to be delivered to my home but it was delivered to another address by mistake. Customer service offered to replace the item and I requested to pick it up at the Dedham store to avoid it being delivered to the wrong home again. I called the store to confirm it had arrived and spoke to a rep named Heather who could not locate the item. She said she would contact her customer service center to try to track the order and would call me back. When she called me back she apologized stating the rep she spoke with had no record of my call or the order being placed to the store and said the service center rep seemed confused and aggravated. She apologized and told me to call customer service to see if I could get in contact with another agent to re-submit the request while apologizing for the inconvenience. I hung up about to call customer service and thankfully thought to check my messages and realized a colleague named Sunny from the store called me the day prior to let me know the order was ready to be picked up…I called the store back and spoke with the same colleague again telling her the order was there which she did end up locating and apologized for the inconvenience once again saying it was in a different place in the store. I told her it was fine and that I would be by after work to pick up the item. When arriving to the store the man behind the counter, an older gentleman who I assume is the store manager, greeted me as I walked in. I told him I had spoken to a colleague name Heather regarding an item to be picked up and he told me he was aware of the situation and that she “saw me coming” and went in back to get it. He went into the back to look for the order then came back stating she had left it up front at the register for me. I thanked him for the help and told him I chose to get this gift through Jos A Bank because my employee used to work for them and recommended it to me as his mother was also a manager of a store at one point. At this point you would have expected his service skills to shine through given the poor experience up until this point but his demeanor seemed to be very stand-offish, didn’t thank me for coming in or apologize for any of the inconvenience. Instead when I was about to exit he called after me asking for my phone number just incase for the transaction, which I went back and gave to him. Overall, just not an impressive experience and where the colleague may have made an innocent mistake initially the manager certainly didn’t make up for any of it with his service skills.
