THE FINAL FRONTIER FOR A CHEAP DATE NIGHT! Love this personal theater! We watched my favorite classic the Big Lebowski! They usually play great new releases but I love a throw back! We got a $15 combo with a ticket, drink, and popcorn! We only had to buy one more ticket for $9. They even brought it to use because they had to make some fresh popcorn! Loved the place and staff were incredible! Thank you Isabel for going above and beyond to get us some fresh popcorn and ice cold drinks!
Limited seating and very small, but good quality picture and sound. Cheap tickets with all the snacks and drinks of a normal sized theater. The only thing I did not like was the fact that you had to leave the theater to use the restroom. The door locked behind you and forced you to wait for someone to unlock and let you back in.
Love Jubitz and love the Cinema! Hubby and I are OTR truck drivers from South Carolina. We've had a dedicated route from North Carolina to Portland for the past year or so. We always stay a day or two at Jubitz while there about twice a month HUGE fan of Jubitz!!
What a hidden PDX Gem. Saw a fresh movie. Not second run. Great comply seats, popcorn and a drink for only $11.00. I stayed for the second movie for only $6.00 more Inside the marketplace on the left.
It has a lot of history. Plus, it has Real Truck Stop workers. They drop in and enjoy the movies, eat popcorn, and just be the regular average Joe's that ride trucks for a living very unique.
Frequent customer. Just took my kid to see the avengers. 2 tickets, 2 large sodas and 2 large popcorns were only $20. It's always clean and I have never seen it crowded. Customers are buzzed in a locked door which feels much safer. Lots of food options to enjoy while watching the movie.
Jubitz cinema was a nice, clean theater. The seats are comfortable with drink holders & high backs. However, they do not recline. The screen seemed to be the same size as any other theater has. The picture & sound were good as well. The concession stand has most everything you'd see in a full size theater. Overall, I was quite satisfied with the place.
$11.00 for a ticket includes popcorn and a drink. Not stingy on the size too! Great deal. I saw both movies and loved it. I believe it is 4 shows a day.
Small theater with a cozy atmosphere. You can expect a good movie going experience for a fraction of the price of a larger theater. There's a full-blown concession stand outside the door that offers a wide variety of fast foods. Don't expect the regular "put your food in your lap" seats. Every seat has a tray that swivels around to be used or not by each moviegoer. The trays even have cup holders in them for those who wish to buy sugary drinks. Additionally, the projection screen is crisp and new, offering a better movie going experience than I have had in the last few years. The projector is, I suspect, top of the line. It didn't flicker or have any of the traditional movie theater blemishes on screen. The seating was leather in each chair makes a genuine attempt to cradle you like you or the little spoon. I'm sure this would be the case for the women in the audience, but as a man I tend to slouch. So being the little spoon didn't work out so well. For about two and a half hours my back was up against the leather and, let me tell you, it generated some heat - not too much, but enough for me to notice. The sound system was, dare I say it, pristine. I absolutely hate sitting in a movie theater where the volume is cranked up to 110% and my eardrums feel like shattering every time there's an explosion. That was not the case at the Jubitz Cinema. I felt like the volume level was balanced very well. The temperature of the theater was noticeably warm. This is not a bad thing, simply an observation. It made me feel like it was summertime. Admittedly, likely contributed to the heat generated between my back and the leather seat. All that said, I wasn't Frozen to the Bone like I have been in some other theaters. I will take warm over cold any day when watching a movie. Lastly, and probably most importantly, was the pre movie show. there was no annoying hostess trying to woo you into caring about all these different advertisements and TV shows. The free movie show was a series of short commercials for things somewhat relevant to the movie being played and trivia. My only quip is that the trivia went a little bit fast. My mind needed a tiny bit more time to process the question and select an answer. Needless to say, it made the pre-screening experience more fun. Also, the selection of movies may be smaller than larger movie places, but for the price you can't beat it. All-in-all, I give the Jubitz Cinema a 10/10.
Good customer service. I went to see super troopers 2, it turned out that 1. The cinema was down, 2. They werent even showing super troopers 2 . The staff were nice enough to give us free tickets because i drove 2 hrs to their cinema just to be disappointed. They explained alot to me about how the advertisers posted on their website falsely. If youre planning on going to the cinema, call ahead.
