Indoor cycling can be done by people of all fitness levels. If you are new to cycling or have been away from fitness, you’ll notice that you improve quickly and recover faster than most other workouts. Indoor cycling has a reputation for intensity, and it can be intense, but our classes appeal to the novice cyclist, hard-core riders and everyone in between!
Indoor cycling doesn’t involve a lot of coordination; it’s easier to concentrate on your form than in other types of aerobic classes. And although you follow the general instructions of the teacher, you are in control when it comes to your pace. You can finish a cycling class, regardless of your fitness level, simply by adjusting your pace on the bike’s resistance knob.
Depending upon your exertion level you can expect to burn between 500 to 1,000 calories in a one hour ride! But to many riders, it goes beyond conditioning and aerobic exercise. It’s both a group ride — sharing the burn of the hills — and also a time to let go and clear one’s thoughts!
