3.6We have gone to Kani House multiple times for their sushi and sashimi. I would give this place a 3.6 only because their raw fish is fresh and delicious. We always get the tuna tataki which is consistently good. I also recommend the yakitori skewers as an appetizer. We also really enjoy the bulldog roll. The service is usually average. The first time we have gone to Kani we decided to order cocktails to pair with our meal. We ordered a mojito and some other drink. We waited a while for the cocktails and they finally arrived…. THE mojito was made with WATER it was just alcohol and water. The other drink was awful as well. The manager took care of it and we decided to never order from the bar since then. We will give the hibachi a try next time!
It was a nice food experience. The man who cooked kept us entertained while cooking. The food was good. I loved the soup they served. Salmon tastes good. Both sauces were tasty even though I liked the ginger flavored sauce more.Food: 5/5
Hibatchi was really good. But kinda felt like some portions were small. The chef was good and put on a show. You get free ice cream at the end.Food: 5/5
Good food and an entertaining chef at the hibachi table. Expect all of the standard hibachi tricks by the chef. Ours decided to throw a ball of rice to each person. Good luck catching it with your mouth or else be ready for a stained shirt. We had the chicken, steak, shrimp and tofu. Nothing disappointed!Food: 4/5
Had great lunch here. Food was seasoned just right. Service was excellent as well. Great hibachi restaurant.Food: 5/5
The atmosphere was ok but there wasn't anybody there yet. We were the first table. The cook did fine but I'm used to more dramatics lol. He was new maybe. Food was outstanding. Service was excellent.Food: 5/5
Great place for Japanese grill. Chef was bit non interactive but he compensated with good food. Nothing to complain though. Staff were ready to kick us out while we were eating right after 1000pm and even turned off lights which we felt odd. So avoid going for late dinner.
Really a good presentation and the food was great. Bonus for being affordable.
Fun dining experience. Extensive menu with vegetarian options available. The place shows a little bit of wear and tear but well maintained. The staff was a mixed bag, a few I interacted with were just polite but not overly friendly. My waitress however was very warm and attentive.
I've been to this Kani house a number of times and the experience has always been good, until this time. Came with party of 5 and sat with 2 stiffs at the grill. Our chef was obviously very new to cooking hibachi style and overcooked the entire meal, serving the vegetables last. Friend ordered the salmon and it was extra well done. Also, chef did not serve any ginger sauce as per usual for some reason. It's clear there's a shortage of experienced hibachi chefs at this location. The worst part is I recommended Kani house this particular evening and due to each of my guests subjection to an extremely poor experience I am banned from making dining recommendations for the next 4 months.
