Picked up a little lunch on the run here the other day. The restaurant is pretty convenient to get to, not far from the highway. The place itself looks beautiful on the inside even though I got to go. I ordered the 3 roll lunch combo. Fantastic value, especially with inflation. The ginger sauce for the salad was really good. The fish was very fresh, but the seaweed wrap was a little chewy. The overall flavor was good but could have been a little better for the spicy rolls. They weren't very spicy at all. Overall, it was a decent lunch for sure. I'd like to come back for dinner and some of the special rolls. Parking: Big lot in the rear.
Ambiance 4/5: The high ceilings with the hanging decorations makes the place seem very trendy. I was a fan of the music. We were seated on the secluded side of the restaurant near the bar. By the bar are TVs with sports playing. The large U shaped booths faced the bar and walls on the sides that blocked view of the other patrons as well as work staff. The other side was open and overlooked the sushi bar and chefs. Service 3/5: We were seated immediately on a Saturday evening around 8pm. Due to our seating in the establishment, we were out of sight from servers and as a result had very slow service. When asked for requests, the servers were quick to provide! I had to often flag down the wait staff as they attended to our neighbors. I attribute the experience to location of our dining and their short-staff. Food: Spicy Tuna Gyoza 5pc $15 4/5: I was expecting more of a dumpling but it was presented in a fried wonton. The portions of the tuna were small but the Thai mango chili aioli was pretty good. Takayama Roll $18 5/5: The roll was flavor was overpowered by the ranch wasabi aioli but I felt like everything tasted really good. Sushi and Sashimi for One $33 4/5: The dish was presented in a large iced bowl with a decoration of a mermaid. The serving size is plentiful for one person. I don’t think that the white tuna was very fresh but everything else was delicious.
I started coming here for lunch. The custom lunch bento box is pretty good. One time I ordered shrimp teriyaki lunch bento and the other time I order chicken, with shumai and calamari. My only complaint is that the chicken and shrimp were fairly bland. But the calamari and shumai...soooo good. Presentation was very nice as well. Definitely would add this to my lunch rotation for sure.
I am usually a fan but Huntington is certainly better then here. I have never had every piece of sushi have the rice fall apart when you eat it like here tonight. The sever response was dismissive. Back to the Huntington location only for me.
Came here for a family party. Was about 40 of us. We had the upstairs all to ourselves which was pretty cool. Took the staff a little while to get things going but once the appetizers started coming out everything else moved along smoothly. The rock shrimp was awesome. My favorite was the hot & sour soup. Sushi was decent but not my favorite. All in all a good experience and everyone kn the family seemed to have had a good time.
The server was top notch. She was extremely nice and personal. The food was outstanding. The service was amazing. Extremely happy with experience. 5 stars
My husband took me here for my birthday last week. The place is GORGEOUS and extremely large. Very appealing when first walking in. The food was unbelievable, and the service was top notch. We drove about 45 minutes to get there and it was so worth it. We had the best time!!
Delicious Sushi spot on Syosset. Nice, big open concept. Staff was attentive and accommodating. Sushi was fresh and amazing. Dessert was great, try the Banana Spring Rolls with Ice Cream. Food was delicious, we tried the soup and ginger salad and wow the ginger dressing was a game changer!! Tried some sushi rolls that we have never had before and really enjoyed it 6 different types of sushi. Customer service was spot. Definitely try the Philadelphia roll...yummmmm
Went to Kashi for a lunch special yesterday and came back home to gradual stomach pain, frequent bathroom trips, muscle aches, and woke up overnight with a high fever. Had to power through work today with body chills and a stomachache. Sashimi didn’t taste fresh. Only meal I had all day before the symptoms started occurring. :/
