We pulled in here at 2am down pouring rain. Pitched a tent. Next morning we noticed we were only ones here. I called owner. He said it was closed. But said we could stay the weekend. Was super awesome. Care taker checked in on us. Really nice guy. Had bad storms. I stayed here 15 years ago and it was awesome. I can give them enough stars.
In my opinion this is the best place to stay when going to Sturgis. The owner is fantastic and friendly. They keep things clean. Great shower facility, food trucks, and a bus to take you into town at night. Love this place!Rooms: 5/5
Stayed there quite a few years a row. Stayed at Bulldog Creek before that. I'm sorry but I'm back to Bulldog for 2023. Katmandu's rates for tent camping $30.00/night!!!??? Bulldog Creek has just as good a setting/layout for tent camping and they are only $20.00/night. Was a great time Mike but for the 3 days I'm there I'm not paying an extra $60.00. mikee
Mike and crew are great. Camp is well maintained and they pay attention to details. For the rally you can't beat this campground. It's quiet and not a party place. They provide a bus to avoid parking and other issues associated with going into Sturgis in the evening.Service: 5/5
Stayed 6 nights during this years rally. Was pretty much as good as others said in the reviews. Way more pros than cons! Pros: * Convenient to activities we were interested in. * Super friendly staff. * Felt very safe staying and also leaving our belongings. * Really clean facilities for the amount of people there, nice hot showers * Recieved good advice upon arrival * Bar, Food Truck and Pool tables * Very organized check-in and direction on property facilities * Way quiter than we anticipated a wonderful surprise * Free shuttle into Sturgis and back Cons: * We weren't able to have our later arriving guests as close to us as we were expecting, so it wasn't as convenient to hang out. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, safe place to camp during the rally. If we ever make it back, the only thing we would change is to check in the same days as our friends to have a better chance at being in closer proximity.
This is my 12th year at Katmandu. Mike and Donna have really done great. Showers every morning, quiet at night, great meals and everyone is friendly. Rode in this week on an 05 Honda, leaving riding a 14 HD Limited. God I love this place!

This Rv park is perfect. Quiet place in a great setting off the 90. Real friendly staff here too. No rowdy bs the whole week we stayed. A food truck serving breakfast and supper, at 6am and 6pm. Perfect place to unwind after a long day's ride seeing all the sights and all the cool roads up here. We will be back
Best campground. Super clean all around. Even shower area. Centrally located to everything in Sturgis area. Nearby activities: Downtown Sturgis, Mt. Rushmore etc.....Everything is within a ride. Katmandu is a wonderful place to stay for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The campground has nice showers, laundry facilities, a bar and food truck. This place is for the campers that want to rest in the evening. All night partying is not allowed at this location. The campground is located close to I90. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food truck is reasonably priced. The bar has beer only but it has a good selection with reasonable prices. If you are going to attend the Sturgis Rally we recommend Katmandu RV park.
