Dr. David Katz grew up in St. Louis Park and attended St. Louis Park schools. In fact, he grew up on Texas Avenue, the same Texas Avenue his office is located on.
After graduating from St. Louis Park High School, he went to the University of Minnesota and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in biology. He attended the University of Minnesota Dental School and graduated in 1982. Dr. Katz worked for another dentist for five years before he acquired the practice of Dr. Irv Frankel in 1987. He has remained in this location for the last twenty-six years.
Dr. Katz has had advanced training in endodontics (root canal therapy), cosmetic dentistry, and prosthodontics (crowns and bridges). He currently resides in Plymouth with his wife Karen, who is a dental hygienist. He has three grown children. Dr. Katz enjoys golf, basketball, biking, and travel.
