Made a quick stop to grab some butter tarts. Original, pecan, raisin, rolo, coffee crisp and skor. Flat white could be better but cant complain as it went really well with the Cinnamon Buns Definitely worth the stop.

This has to be my favourite bakery. Been going here for years. I go out of my way to come here because it's so good! Their tarts are huge and very tasty and I love their lemon squares and cinnamon buns!

The butter tarts are great! It was my first time in the store and in the area, I ordered 32 butter tarts and there were only 4 people in line. It took the server 5 mins to put together my order. I have never been treated in such a disrespectful manner, when I gave her my order she said this is going to take me a while which it didn’t and huffing like I was bothering her! When I was paying $104.00 she still had attitude and made me feel very uncomfortable and said next time call your order in. I responded I didn’t know you were here and it’s my first time in this area, I also added that maybe you should be happy I’m buying your butter tarts and supporting your business! I would like to add there were so many racks 6-8 selves deep of butter tarts so it wasn’t because there wouldn’t be enough for other people.

WAY too much pastry and not enough filling. Maple-bacon butter tart hardly had any maple flavour and ZERO bacon flavour despite the very few bacon bits on the top one side only. This place is over-rated in my opinion. There are so many other places making much better butter tarts. Pro tip: if you see too much pastry around a butter tart, leave.

Still the best butter tart in Kawartha Cottage Country. Really, it should be on our flag instead of the maple leaf! If there's any left when you get there, snag a cinnamon bun. I can't write enough about the soft, chewy roll, sweetened with sugar and spiced with cinnamon, then dipped in glaze. Being a conservative at heart I always choose the relatively plain one, but they also serve them topped with butter cream frosting, or another imaginative frosting. I can only imagine the perfection of those concoctions!!

Yummy in my tummy!!!! They do a great job at making one of Canada's pride and joys in the dessert/pastry department. Highly recommend giving it a try. It's a tad pricey but totally worth it once and a while. Or every day. Or several times a day

My friend and I have been on a mission to try as many of the butter tart makers listed on the Kawartha Butter Tart Tour website as possible. We stopped in at this location and, while it's quite small, they had a nice variety of baked goods, even beyond their butter tart varieties. They have prepackaged mini tarts when you walk in. Full size tarts we had to order from the counter. I have to say, the pastry of these tarts is exactly the kind I like and have been trying to make. It's light and flaky and has a good structure. The tart filling is not runny and isn't too sweet. The combo of the pastry and the filling is great. Would have also liked to try their apple fritters, but unfortunately they had sold out for the day. Oh well, next time!

Worth the trip. So many flavours to try. I love how they make their tart crust. You can taste the authenticity. I love their location where they have a playground for the kids to let loose.

These are the butter tarts of my dreams...been on a butter tarts odyssey for 3 yrs. I think I found my paradise!! Fantastic butter tarts: buttery laminated layers of delicious delights! The filling is crispy and crunchy at the top and oh so ooey gooey yummy in the centre!! Yeaaaa!! The mini tarts are wonderful bite sized treats, but you definitely need to the big tarts. The have pies, bread, cinnamon buns, Chelsea buns, garlic cheese bread sticks, pizza sticks, ice cream, sausage rolls...and more! Small little shop and worth the stop on you way up or down Hwy 28!

Delicious baked goods. We bought a few different donuts, cinnamon bun and and apple crumble pie. We also got some frozen yogurt from next door. All things were very tasty. Good service. Good location. There ate some tables around to sit on and enjoy the snacks too.
