The customer service at this location is ABSOLUTELY horrific! The woman who calls herself "the manager" has a serious lack of professionalism. Like a previous review by a woman named Sarah, I have unfortunately fallen victim to Kay's and their lack of willingness to help you once you have purchased an item and the warranty. Shop small and local...these chain jewelry stores are a joke. Don't waste your money here!
I would give them no stars if I could. You can spend thousands of dollars there but once you need help after spending that money they refuse to help. Will never buy anything from Kays again. The two women we dealt with were beyond rude and inconsiderate!
THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE PROUD MANAGER AT KAYS IN THE CAPITAL CITY MALL IS BEYOND GROSS. I always remember the service at this location to be poor but based off my most recent experience I am compelled to write a review to hopefully spare you the same service discrimination I received, as well as file a complaint with the BBB and never ever return to the Kay's in the Capitol City Mall for as long as I live. The Employees at the Carlisle Kay's are sweet, & welcoming. I have over 30 diamonds in my engagement ring and had a wedding band made over 14 years ago. To date, I have not had one loose stone in either ring. I am very pleased with the jewelry, the craftsmanship. Too bad the customer service doesn't align.
Stopped In To Get My Fiances White Gold Diamond Ring Which Got Assumed Was Silver. After Explaining It Was 10k White Gold And Diamonds And One Was Missing I Still Got Told I Need To Buy A Warrenty When The Ring Is Less Than 2 Months Old. Well After Being Firm And Saying I Didn't Need To Buy A Extended Warrenty She Says Well There Backed Uo Anyway And I Can't Help You. What Kind Of Service Is This These People Need Fired Because I Felt Discriminated And Belittiled And She Wouldn't Even Answer My Fiancees Questions Never Go To This Store.
BUYER BEWARE: After dealing with stones falling out of my engagement ring since I got engaged in 2019, I am now dealing with stones falling out of my wedding band. I haven't even been married for 3 months yet and stones are already falling out. I take excellent care of my rings. There is absolutely no way this should be happening especially if I haven't even worn them for 3 months yet.
After 46+ years of wear & tear on my wife's wedding ring and engagement ring it was time to see if they could be repaired. The wedding band was a two-toned gold and needed enlarged. When we got the wedding band back you couldn't even tell it was 'enlarged' and the look on my wife's face when she got it back was priceless! The engagement ring though couldn't be saved so they suggested a new mounting and ring for the original diamond that when arrived excited my wife more than it did on the actual original engagement day. When we left our local Kay Jeweler's she had a smile a mile wide, thanks for that!
Jessica is the most knowledgeable and helpful employee that I have ever dealt with at Kay's. She took the time to merge my old accounts and find paperwork 3 other locations AND customer service told me they couldn't find. Then she took the time to show me all of the jewelry I wanted to see and sold me some lovely pieces even though other people were there trying to talk to her. She deserves a raise and a promotion!
Dont listen when they tell you about "special financing". They are lying. This is the second time we have bought a ring from them and they have screwed us over with the credit card and payment due to the people in store promising one thing and then getting a bill that says somthing else. They dont tell you all the information. When you buy in store. Dont recomend getting a credit line with them. Also the credit card company will give you the run around and refuse to say they are wrong. No communication from the actual store to the credit card company
I know everyone’s experience is different but I have to say that April truly saved me from having a mental breakdown after my wedding. My husband and I just happened to check out this location after having issues with my wedding band and having terrible luck with the Kay on the Pike. Long story short, she fixed the issue. Yes it took time for me to get my new rings back 6-8 weeks but it was worth the wait because I have not had any issues with my new but same wedding set.
Ever since I moved here in 2000 I've gone to no other place for jewelry but for Kay's at the Capital City Mall. It was and continues to be an excellent shopping experience, great rewards for returning customers and quality merchandise. Honestly, you won't find more knowledge, understanding and easy going folk then you do at this Kay's location. Just stop in and ask a few question's, they won't pressure you to buy but they will treat you as if you were. Oh, and ask about creating custom pieces if you want to really see how this staff shines.
