Kemah Palms gave me the gift of sobriety. Which is INCREDIBLY more valuable than words can express. The staff here is amazing; many sages work here. As I write this, Im realizing how short words fall of expressing how thankful I am for KPR. The facility is so very nice, the food is great, and the staff touched my heart and soul in profound ways. I will love my KPR family for the rest of my life. Give yourself the gift of life at Kemah Palms Recovery.
If I could give Kemah Palms Recovery center a billion stars, I would. After much research and google reviews, I found this fabulous alcohol and drug rehabilitation center. It provides powerful one on one and comprehensive group therapy. The counselors and RA’s give the highest quality in care, have the most sincere integrity and are the greatest experts in this field you’ll ever meet. Extra perks: horses, pool, exercise classes, chiropractor, massage therapist, and some of the best chefs around. Also a beloved community dog named Sparky. I highly recommend KPR to all my family, friends and to anyone wanting recovery. They helped me put the pieces of my life back together when I was utterly broken.
This place is amazing! All Staff is amazing & caring and was there for me during the good, bad and ugly Monte, Terri, Daniel, Wanda, Amber, Jason, Earl, Jennifer and many many more Im forever grateful for my recover and for Kemah Plams.
Kemah Palms is THE ABSOLUTE WORST! As someone who has been through centers before and has a degree in this field, I absolutely recommend finding a different treatment center for yourself or your loved ones. Here at Kemah palms they start you off with strip searches, squat and coughs, take you off ALL your meds psych and non narcotic pain despite having surgery before entering, allowing other clients to crawl in your bed and laugh about it, attempt to send male staff into bathrooms with female clients, don’t feed you food alternatives if you have an allergy, and so much more. Also don’t believe them if they say you don’t owe money before admitting as they try to hit you with a bill after and to put a warrant out for you if you refuse to pay. In addition to all of this never trust them with your information as it is not safe with them, they will find ways around HIPPA and spread your business to whomever they feel. Best of all their being “LGBT friendly” tactic is an absolute lie as my wife was not only outed to other clients but also consistently harassed the entire time being told her “sexuality was a sin and she was the stench in God’s nose”. No action was taken. I am so extremely disappointed and disgusted with how Kemah palms treated my wife and will never speak of KP again unless to discourage people from coming here.
I would not advise anyone to detox off of benzodiazepines here. Reggie the psychiatrist is ill informed about benzo withdrawal and that caused me to take two trips the ER. He is going to hurt someone that is coming off of benzodiazepines. The only medical staff that worked in unison and I felt safe with was was Melanie, David and Dr. Davis. I will say the RAs and counselors were amazing especially Monte and Michael. I hope they get it together for the next person that withdrawals of long acting benzodiazepines. That is the purpose of this review.
We enrolled our son at Kemah Palms Recovery because of abuse of pain medication and addiction. I can attest that this decision was life altering for both our son and us. We are so grateful for the care and attention the staff provided to both him and us. His transition and growth since his time there has been amazing to watch. The owners, his clinic counselor and especially his recovery coach have shown him care and attention beyond anything we could have expected. They have shown us that they truly care about his growth and recovery. They were excellent about answering our questions while he was being treated. Also, their assistance since his completion has been outstanding. As a parent, I’m so thankful that we chose KPR to treat our son.
I had a wonderful experience with Kemah palms. The staff took great care of my family member who attended. She suffered with opioid abuse and after the 30 day stay they followed up with her continuously. I would recommend kemah to anyone! This addiction treatment center changes lives
I had a loved one attend Kemah Palms for opioid and alcohol abuse. The staff was very friendly and made sure our family was updated throughout their stay. We cannot recommend Kemah Palms enough for substance abuse treatment.
I had a family member attend residential treatment at Kemah Palms and the entire family had a great experience. The house is beautiful, homey, and very clean. The backyard has a great fire pit, lots of green space, and just recently equine therapy. This center is family-owned and run and you can feel the loving nature throughout the whole facility. Definitely recommend this place.
Kemah Palms Recovery saved my life! KPR not only helped me love myself again but also taught me to love my life in sobriety. Everyone from the RAs to the Counselors made me feel so safe and loved. I will forever hold a special place in my heart for KPR and all that they have done for me. Anyone that truly wants a life in recovery and a place to go that will help you individually in every way possible to accomplish this, Kemah Palms is the place for you!
