Kemp Center for the Arts

About

The Kemp is the heart of the arts community in the Greater Wichita Falls area, home to The Arts Council and The Wichita Falls Symphony.

Description

The Kemp Center for the Arts is a key part of the Wichita Falls community. We host many art classes for both adults and kids. As a nonprofit center, we always strive to offer the best prices in town with quality products! We will also have several available camps through out the summer for the kids to enjoy. Get them out of the house and being creative with us!

Artwork is all over our building in our three galleries and outdoor sculpture garden. These spaces hold art from local, state, and international artists. Stop by to see the local high school art show, the latest and greatest art in Wichita Falls, the new additions to our sculpture garden, or what the local "Monday Night Sketchers" are showing off.

Our building is a beautiful historical marker, and perfect place to host an event. We have rental space available daily and make an elegant space for a wedding, a beautiful room for a reception, have beautiful grounds for a ceremony or even have great rooms for business meetings. The possibilities are endless here, so please stop by and visit us.

The Mystery Art was a beautiful event. The artists and volunteers were very welcoming. I will be back next year! So much fun!!!
The building is inviting. The garden beautiful. The staff is friendly. Its history is amazing. The kitchens were clean and organized. The bathrooms- spotless. All in all The Kemp is a wonderful place to hold an event.
The Kemp is a wonderful historic building that houses the Wichita Falls Symphony Office and the Kemp Center for The Arts and The Wichita Falls Jr. Symphony Orchestra Office. It touches many lives with many classes offered in the arts. I have had the privilege to work in this nostalgic place and would recommend it to everyone.
I took one of Rachel Lyles' painting class here and the new classroom is really nice. The class was fun, as always, and I think the acoustics there are better than her old building. She was very easy to hear. It's a beautiful building, and they've done so much since the days it was a library.
Great art center with local and national talent on display. Historic building with interesting story.
Growing up in Wichita Falls I was fortunate enough to go to the library a lot. I was one of those kids who could not read enough. I always entered the reading contest that they had in the summer and usually was either in first place or second place for my age group. The library seemed so beautiful to me as a child, and now, as an adult, I have an even greater appreciation for this historic piece of Wichita Falls. It may not be the library anymore but it is a very fitting home for an Arts Center in this town. The people who work there and the volunteers are always more than helpful and I greatly enjoy the fact that they have as many community events there as they do.
This is a beautiful building and they had a lovely collection of quilts. It is free with donations accepted. Their gift shop is quaint. It's definitely worth a look. I highly recommend the quilt collection. Hours and hours of time was spent on each piece, thoughtfully, meticulously put together.
Beautiful place! Daughter had prom here and it has so much all around for all kinds of activities. I hope to attend more events here.
Great family friendly atmosphere with awesome art lessons. Lots of options for learning about art and making art projects. This has become our favorite family outing.
Trying to find things to do during Covid. Visited this sculpture garden and was really fun. Our family took fun pictures with each sculpture. We also enjoyed the gallery of photographs inside. Lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Looks like it would be a nice place for functions. Glad we stopped.
