Mission Statement for The Juanita Harvey Art Gallery:
The Juanita Harvey Art Gallery at Midwestern State University serves as a teaching gallery to be used by students, faculty, and staff in the pursuit of the appreciation and study of the visual arts. The Juanita Harvey Art Gallery seeks to mount exhibitions that are diverse where that they may enhance The Juanita and Ralph Harvey School of Visual Arts commitment in advancing a greater understanding of the creative dynamic. Exhibiting artists are selected not only by the quality of their work and their ability to engage students, but also for their ability to complement the School’s programming and accomplished faculty
The O’Donnell Visiting Artists is a program of the Juanita Harvey Art Gallery that allows MSU students and citizens of Wichita Falls to be exposed to the work, inspirations, and ideas of regionally and nationally known artists outside the immediate community. The Visiting Artists Series has a strong professional service dimension because it contributes to the networking of professional artists from across the region including MSU’s own faculty and students.
