Transfered my father there this past week after a terrible stay at a competitor home. Extremely clean with no smells More importantly his quality of life is being tended to in the following ways: Clothes are always clean He is always dressed and groomed timely Room is clean and tidy, with personal items put away and marked Eats with other residents so he can socialize Spends time doing puzzles and reading the paper with staff, doing things he loves each day Call lights wandered timely I am in the Nursing Home industry, so I am aware of the importance of care and the Staff here is amazing. My Father is in Great Hands!
Visited today and the facility was very clean, staff were very friendly.
When I worked at this location it were Great Nurses and Staff, care given for the younger generation as well as the older generation, care given for the best possible longevity of life, nurses did everything they could to the best of their ability to make a difference in their patients life’s. I would recommended anyone looking at a place for their loved one, to definitely give this place a try.
I am an RN and I love this place. I enjoy working here. Looks are deceiving. The staff is friendly, you don't have a ridiculous workload. I always pick a shift up via Clipboard when it is available.
My mom was here hardly 2 months and passed away. Multiple times she was neglected, no nurse coming to the call light, and sometimes just left on the toilet. Multiple times she hit her call light and no one would be even in the hallway so I’d end up helping her. Patients across the hall sometimes were screaming and no one responded. Under staffed, somewhat, but also 80% of the staff don’t see to care one way or another. Some are very sweet and hug me every time I’m there. Others are plain RUDE!
Horrible facility to consider sending a loved one. the office personnel are unprofessional, look sloppy and dress inappropriately and was clueless . i was passed off twice during a tour and the administrator was very rude and lacks customer service. she seemed like she had a attitude that she had to take over plus, she was very cold and sterile not once did she interact with any of the patients and I sensed she doesn't care for them nor does she know them other than name . she also was not at all friendly with the staff not once did she introduce any of them to us .she needs to learn to smile and clearly is inexperienced and doesn't know how to talk to you she talks firm down to you . this place is not in this field to take care of people . all they want is $$ they are understaffed and that sends a message they didn't take care of their staff . i feel sorry for those old people . the only people that care for them is the nurses and staff. you can see that.
The aides and nurses there now I like, the management however, terrible. Day in and day out, they actually expect ONE aide to take care of 20-22 patients BY THEMSELVES!! Obviously, the patient neglect is high, cannot be helped. Certainly is not the aide's fault. It is management being disgustingly cheap. These rooms are over $250.00 PER DAY... So it is obviously more important they line their pockets then take care of their patients properly. Remember, half of these rooms have 2 people in them...it is just ridiculous... Those employees work way too hard, and get burned out...
The staff don't seem very nice like they're all just there for a paycheck. Nobody smiled or greeted us everytime we go in. One nurse in particular was very short with us and acted like we were burdening her to ask a simple question. As a STNA I was very disappointed and feel sorry for the other residents who don't have anyone to check on them.
There is nothing to like about this place very under staffed everyone of the residents there are neglected day in and day out. Most definitely needs new staff and management. A buddy's grandmother was taken out of there last night and admitted to Robinson in Ravenna for holes in her feet. And possibly can't do the amputation bec how weak she has become. They're saying she's to brittle to survive the surgery so all they can do is make her comfortable.
I have resided at Kent Healthcare for one month today. During its reformation under Dan Washburn's command, I have witnessed remarkable changes. Dan has transformed every department to expand and excel Kent Healthcare even in his off hours. I am a paraplegic and a Gulf war veteran and I have never seen a person take on personal responsibility like him. With his leadership qualities and his staff has fallen in line to implement their skills. I would recommend all to come to this facility due to the professional environment! I would be remise if i did not include the empathetic staff members ofnursing assistants; nursing, rehabilitation staff, laundry, and the social sevices department. Here at Kent Quality Care they understand the human experience and the needs of people who needs a little extra care. I highly recommend this place for rehabilitation, long-term care or other needs...this is the cream of the crop in as far as nursing homes in my humble opinion. Update on my last day here...I have been verbally abused and intimidated by nurse aides Ruby and Beverley. I am calling the people that handles this.
