The cafe is good they have lot of options to choose from. I liked their veggie pattie on the side was good. Place is well maintained. Service is quick. Food is good
Great fare as always. The chicken fried steak is actually waygu cuts and really good. I like how their pancakes are always a little bit crispy. And of course the baked potato omelette is a great way to start the morning. And as always service was also top notch
Coffee was not hot. I had to request another cup. Fruit was thrown together and not very appealing. Not sliced bite size. Eggs were bland and cold. Bacon was terrible and not edible. English muffin was not toasted well and was dry. I would not recommend this location. Nice area but very disappointing breakfast.
My husband and I visited Kirby Lane in West Lake today for lunch. We had the grilled salmon with basil mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. Everything was just delicious! Dessert was homemade apple pie and ice cream. We were more than satisfied with our food and were two happily full people by the time we left. We have yet to try their delicious breakfast menu, but it certainly won't be long until we do. The server was prompt and courteous, making us feel at home. Make time for a visit to Kirby Lane, it's too good to be missed! Parking: The wheelchair access was right near the front door. Ample parking also. Wheelchair accessibility: I am in a wheelchair and most of the time I find access to stores and restaurants difficult or next to impossible. Not so at Kirby Lane. They even held the door open for us!
Long wait to start. Our server was awesome!! Everything came pretty quickly once we ordered. I ordered the fried chicken with biscuits eggs Benedict. Totally tasteless and mediocre at that. The eggs over cooked. My wife was happy with her pancakes. Would I go back here for breakfast... probably not. Nothing amazing about the food. Kid-friendliness: Way too many kids everywhere. Kind of annoying
I've eaten it Kerbey Lane many times this is my first experience at this location it was clean open and bright. Food however was quite disappointing I've never been served a chicken fried steak at Kerbey Lane or anywhere that was so small and on top of that it was cut in half. Why would you cut someone's chicken fried steak in half? It was quite the quandary and the gravy was cold on top of it I ate it anyway, hoping I don't get sick just a little disappointed over all. Vegetarian options: My son and daughter-in-law are vegan and they can eat there without having to worry there's plenty of options for them so I feel it's very easy on a vegetarian
Had breakfast Monday AM. Not many diners at 10AM. We thoroughly enjoyed KL's seasonal menu; had the Sweet Potato Hash and Texas Benedict. Both were outstanding. Our food server Mauricio was spot on - attentive, knowledgeable and friendly.
I enjoyed the Southern Classic which is two biscuits, with bacon gravy, two sausage patties and two eggs cooked to your liking. I did over hard eggs. The biscuits are thick and springy. The gravy was light for the amount of biscuit you get and was slightly salty but tasty. The sausage patties and eggs were great. My date had blueberry pancakes which they said tasted more like a cake then anything else. Our waiter gave good courteous service. We had an awkward wait when we first entered the cafe as there was no host and no signage saying whether we wait to be seated or seat ourselves.
Our waiter, Jeffrey G, was very attentive, pleasant and nowhere near overbearing. Imagine the perfectly chill personality that you would like to be your server for breakfast. That’s Jeff. Now about the food. The frito pie had a spicy kick per my pregnant wife but obviously not spicy enough to put her in labor. My Nabil’s mid-east feast was fresh and generously portioned. We will come back and ask for Jeffrey G.
Although one of the breakfast we ordered came out as room temperature, they did warm it up after we requested it. Overall, we absolutely enjoyed the service and food quality. Parking: Easy parking
