Keck Graduate Institute School of Pharmacy is a newly established pharmacy school located in Claremont, California. It is affiliated to the Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences, which is a member of the Claremont University Consortium. The school offers PharmD program, and is planning to start courses from Fall 2014.Founding DeanIn January 2013, KGI School of Pharmacy appointed Kathy Webster as the founding dean for the school that is scheduled to start classes in Fall 2014. Prior to joining KGI, Kathy Webster was a professor and associate dean of academic affairs at University of Maryland Eastern Shore School of Pharmacy. Kathy's other experiences include her role as assistant dean and chair of pharmaceutical sciences and a professor at Feik School of Pharmacy, University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.CampusKGI School of Pharmacy is located in the KGI campus, which hosts three different schools - School of Applied Life Sciences, School of Pharmacy and the Minerva Schools. KGI's School of Applied Life Sciences was established in 1997, and has been in located in Claremont, California. The KGI School of Applied Life Science offers programs that include - Master of Bioscience (MBS), Postdoctoral Professional Masters (PPM), Postbaccalaureate Premedical Certificate (PPC), PhD in Applied Life Sciences and PhD in Computational and Systems Biology.Academic ProgramThe curriculum for the PharmD program is organized in four core components - Sequential Science Series, Clinical Science Series, Professional Development Series, and Experiential Education Series . In addition to the Doctor of Pharmacy degree, KGI also offers students with a certificate program from one of the four concentrations.
