This was really a fun experience. A long line with not much to do during the wait, but it pays off with a long 20ish minutes safari through different environments to see animals up close. There was more to see on the left side, and we were happy we went fairly early in the day because the animals were more active. Be ready to take lots of pictures, but hold on to your phone because it gets bumpy! The exit of the safari leads right into the gorilla trail, so it's very easy to do those back-to-back.
Loved this so much! Like others have said, sit in the back row or on the left side of the vehicle if you can. Be careful with taking pics as it gets pretty bumpy in some areas! We were lucky enough to see the lions/lionesses and even got a roar from one of the Lions! It's a good idea to make this your first ride if possible as you are more likely to see the most animals.
Wow this Safari ride is amazing!! So educational and special. Every time you ride, it will be different. The animals have the best life! They are so friendly and sweet. We especially love seeing the babies. There's no guarantee you'll see all the animals, some like to hide. But you'll see most of them! The cast members are so friendly and awesome at their job! The ride itself is about 18-20 minutes long. It's a great way to sit back and take a break while also learning some cool animal facts. Mind you, this ride gets pretty crowded around mid-day and afternoon. It's very popular. And it closes early too depending on park hours. The best time to get in line would be at rope drop. This was the first ride we ran to and we only had to wait about 10 minutes. Overall this is such a great experience. If you're planning a trip to Animal Kingdom, this ride is a must have on your itinerary!
The Kilimanjaro Safari is one my favorite adventures in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Riding in a large jeep bus, we got to see lots of animals relaxed in their habitats. We saw flamingos, rhinos, giraffe, zebras, warthogs, and lions! The landscape was beautiful. The driver, Savannah narrated the tour in such an animated and interesting way too. This ride is worth the wait!
This is easily my favourite experience in the entirety of Walt Disney World. On this ride, you get to see a variety of animals. Of course, you may not see all the animals in the safari, however the drivers do their best to point out the different animals you can see. There are giraffes, elephants and lions in this safari. I personally think the best times to go are in the evening or after it has rained, as the area has then cooled down and you are more likely to see the animals. I definitely recommend visiting here; it's amazing!
This is such a neat ride! And each trip is never the same. Early mornings and late evenings are the best times, but even in the middle of the day the animals tend to be out and about. I always recommend sitting on the left side for the best views of the animals.Visited onWeekdayWait time10–30 minReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$31+
Kilimanjaro Safaris is my favorite part of Animal Kingdom. It ranks pretty high on my list of all of the experiences at Walt Disney World. There is something absolutely magical about seeing these animals up close that really can not be replicated with a typical zoo experience. The line for this truck ride can get long, but in my opinion it is absolutely worth it. Each driver we’ve ever had for this expedition has been wonderful and knowledgeable.
Such a remarkable experience. The "ride" is amazing and it is never the same twice. So many animals to see, beautiful plants, and the environment takes you to a "different" continent in a matter of moments. Children to adults will love this chance to see a little bit of "Africa" without traveling a thousand miles away in a plane. A highly recommend stop on a Disney journey.
The Kilimanjaro Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom is a great experience. You really get a good view of a lot of the animals and the hosts always give some good information, with some humor. I highly recommend taking the time to do the safari if you are spending a day in the Animal Kingdom park.
Best safari in America! I've been on this ride at least 10 times and every time it's a different experience with the animals. The only thing that's been the same year after year are the "ostrich eggs" which are not real They never move they never hatch. But every driver always points it out as if they are real. Lots of chances to see many animals.
