We are here quite a bit. This park has been a huge hit with the kids for years. Clean restrooms , a covered pavilion . Outdoor exercise equipment is available. This park intersects with the walking trails as well for added convenience. We have never had a bad experience here. This is a beautifully maintained area.
Good shelter and seating but not that many things to play on. There is a cool rocking climbing area though. There are bathrooms and water fountains as well. One thing this park has that others do not is a workout section for the parents that need to get a workout in while there kids play. It’s pushing/pulling equipment which I thought was cool and different.
The restrooms are usually gross and the tables under the pavilion are dirty and damaged. However, the playground is in good shape and it's sized so that my bigger kids can still have fun. The story walk and the exercise equipment are nice additions.
The equipment is cool and varied, not a ton of options but other parks don't have such a high rock wall. More exercise themed I think than learning based. No changing table
This is one of the nicest parks in Dothan. Had my granddaughter's 5th birthday party at this park. She had a wonderful time. The park also has a nice walking trail.
I love the layout of this park it is lovely. It's simply a family oriented place. I'm always looking for new Parks for the family. I have seen their trail it is very peaceful and seems quite
Just a short way from Miracle Park this park offers a bit of an escape from the crowd. Hidden in the trees. It is a more peaceful and small park. Good for a smaller kids.
Attended family reunion here. It was announced that staff did not reservation on morning of event necessitating coordinator to locate her receipt and take to Dothan Leisure Services. Pain in the butt but pavilion was by start time of 11 AM. Bathrooms were clean, stocked & conveniently located. Small, uncovered playground for younger kids. Slide became too hot as morning turned to midday. Has ceiling fans- one of which was quite squeaky making it difficult to hear speaker. Playground and pavilion still accessible to public even though rented $90 for event think for 4 hrs.. Ample paved parking. Picnic tables on-site.
Family friendly atmosphere, my little go to spot when I want to take a break in my day.
Please like our reviews! ^^ This park is awesome. Has a pavilion with tables and public bathrooms. It is pet friendly and has 2 playgrounds. One play area is for tots and the other for bigger kids. It has a rock climbing wall and lots of great climbing features and monkey bars. This play ground wheelchair accessible on the ground but unlike 'Smiley Park' aka Miracle Park, wheelchairs cannot go onto the playground. The ground is coated with rubber so it makes it convenient when kids take a fall. We recommend them wearing long pants if your kids are small and lose their balance often. The rubber ground is nice but can burn the skin a bit. There is plenty of parking. Unlike the Miracle Park across the way, this park is not gated so even past sunset families can visit. Just be aware that this park is not well lit at night and neither is the pavilion, however the bathrooms stay lit. My fam loves to play a huge game of tag at this park when it is empty. Near this park is also the local library which is convenient. We love this place. Thank you Kiwanis Club for opening such a fun place for families to enjoy themselves!
