Gosh this place is such a great local resource!!! A very reasonably priced fitness option for residents to have access to a gym, pool & more. We did the quarterly option which was very affordable at $55/total for TWO people! Includes the weight center, pool and whirlpool. Pool is awesome & found the open swim hours timing great! Spacious locker room with showers, private changing areas, restrooms & pay per use lockers. Staff was super helpful & friendly. Only suggestions would be that the locker rooms could used updated. Just a bit older but ALWAYS very clean & neat. Also - just a safety suggestion - it would be helpful to have some floor mats in the lockers rooms. It’s hard to get your feet dried off and the floor not be slippery. Also, this is the first pool I’ve been at that did not have a swimsuit spinner in the locker rooms to wring out bathing suits. That would be a great addition. But overall - grateful for this local option & would HIGHLY RECOMMEND checking it out! You won’t find a better place with so many options & so reasonable!
Pretty excellent venue during the 2023 Wiregrass Train show. As a former employee of Dothan leisure services I wouldn't expect anything less.
I am enjoying the 9 weeks- 1 hour Water Aerobics Classes that I signed up for at the Westgate Recreation Center here in Dothan, Alabama. What a Wonderful Pool, and Facilities, and the Employees of this Great Establishment for the Whole Family. All your Children, Parents and Grandparents can Enjoy Together. Attended my 1st Aquacize class and I'm very happy to be in this class. I have joint issues and weight loss goals. I was in the Theraputic and Wellness indoor pool. The women's dressing room/showers/bathrooms are very clean, great working condition, and gives a great amount of privacy. Thank you for having such a great facility.
Decent if you're a swimmer or if your kid is wanting to learn martial arts even then the sensei is really old now the main thing that sucks about it is that the gym will remain closed while the rest of the facility is fully operational, either the staff is lazy or the fact the gym is mainly the reason 76% of the people come out there to hoop is too much work for the recreational staff to handle
I enjoyed here came for a birthday party. We was behind in leaving & the workers wasn't rude at all didn't even give problem about it. They was kind & made us all feel very welcomed & I definitely don't mind going back.
Very nice pool for only $3. The locals come to splash around and splash each other. Only 2 lanes are roped off for serious swimming.
Must say it is a very clean facility. I took my son and one of his friends there today. And was told that I had to have on a swim suit even if I WAS NOT gone get in the pool. So to sit on the bleachers I had to have on a swim suit. But mind you it was a day care field trip and the employees was aloud to sit in side on the bleachers with street clothes on. If the rule is you have to have on a swim suit it should be that way across the board. I was fine watching the from the glass window because it can get loud in there. But felt like it was double standard.
