The pros about this company are very flexible, ability to work from home full time, great benefits and compensation package The cons are, after being recruited AGGRESSIVELY by the vice president and program manager I feel that they both flat out lied to me in the beginning just to get me in the position. During the initial telephone and in person interview oops I meant "meet and greet" I specifically asked what would happen to my job as the project manager if something happened to the contract. I was told by the vice president and program manager that there would be other contracts that I could manage. That was absolutely not true because much to my surprise, less than five months later, the program manager had an impromptu conference call to let me know that the contract I was working on was "changing" and my position was being eliminated. Assured me it had nothing to do with performance as if this would make me feel better. Never offered any other opportunities to work on other contracts just dropped me without warning. I honestly don't believe there were ever any "other" contracts to work on. The unfortunate thing for me was that I left a great job to come work for this organization, to which I completely regret. Additionally, you are not made to feel like a part of the team. There were secret meetings held to discuss the direction of the organization to which I was told that I would be a part of and never was. Never had staff meetings or any employee events. No encouragement at all as an employee.
