“I had an exceptional experience at this place! The staff members were incredible with their positive attitude, accommodating nature, and their genuine friendliness towards both families and pets. It was refreshing to see such a safe and inclusive environment where everyone felt welcome. The staff’s firm but fair approach ensured that unruly behavior was not tolerated, and they diligently monitored the grounds to promptly address any disturbances in a professional manner. The facilities were spotlessly clean, and the convenient location near Highway 77 made it easily accessible. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a secure, clean, and pet-friendly environment with a staff that truly cares about the well-being of their guests!”
This was our second time visiting this KOA. They have done some improvements to it over the last 2 years. The seasonal sites were less noticeable and better well kept. The entire campground has been repaved. Patio site was very nice and shaded. It did have a lot of ants crawling around the deck and the lamp post was missing a bulb. The staff wasn't all that friendly with the little interaction we had with them. Their office/store doesn't open until 10am which is inconvenient for people who are gone early morning and arrive back later in the day. We did not experience any highway noise. They do have propane but there was a sign up that said appointment needed for filling. Pool was very clean. Would stay again if the need arises.
Great place to camp! Staff is amazing entire place is quite very clean! Always improving every trip! Would totally recommend this KOA!! People complain about the rules well I am here to say that I believe they are right on the money with all of the rules! Well doneRooms: 5/5
Very nice park. Clean, well maintained. Friendly hosts. Lots of green space and pretty country; nice spaces. Nice dog park. Good access to local activities. We enjoyed our seven days there as we travel full time around the country. .Rooms: 5/5
I have stayed here several times and the staff here is always friendly and welcoming. They were also very helpful to make it super easy as I kept having to extend my stay. Very clean and I LOVE LOVE that they have mobile pay laundry you can use coins too BUTI wish more campgrounds would do this. Good amenities and dog park!Service: 5/5
It was good for an overnight stay but not for a very long stay. It is right next to the interstate so it is kind of loud, and there aren't a lot of amenities. The bathrooms could use a little bit of an update. The campsites themselves are clean though somewhat small. Most of the sites are pull through and paved so it is easy in and easy out. The pool closed rather early at 7:00 p.m.
This place is absolutely horrible. Not the campground in general. Just the management. We had stayed here in the winter and the previous managers weren’t bad at all. They weren’t the friendliest but they weren’t crazy either. The new managers, couple looks like they are in late 40s , the guy has a long beard, wife green or purple hair. Anyways he is a manager that is a do as I say not as I do. I really wish I would’ve recorded the way he talked to my husband about parking. Some other guy told my husband he can park in a tent site because he knew they would not be used, then guy with the beard told him he needed to move and park in the overflow because they are trying to get the grass to grow. But yet the camper three spots down from us were parking on the grass and they had two cars. He is in the white truck, with Jayco fifth wheel. The managers camper is the prettiest of them all, with the lovely awning over there porch and he has the red truck parked right in the beautiful grass. The pool has so many rules wig things you can’t do that you are scared to even move. I believe the wife sits in the office and watches every move and is bored with her life and so when someone does something a little off she makes another sign. My 3 year old rode his bike to the pool parked it right next to the gate of the pool. Later I went for a walk that night and saw a sign no bicycles past this point. It’s really sad. If you stay longer then a night you will feel like you are in a jail camp. If you are having family come visit you, They have to pay 10.00 per person. And the camper that was down from parking in the grass they made him park across the street and he has to pay 200.00 a month to park there. The sites are extremely un level and tight. In one of the pictures you can see how close we are to a tree. We have been traveling the last year all over and have never had any problems. I really hope KOA will get these managers some major customer service training or new managers!!
We stayed a few weeks ago. Location was good we came in town for a geology dig at emerald hollow mine strongly recommend. We had no freeway noise but I was also running the fan. The sites were nicely paved and maintained and hookups worked as expected. I was charged in the rate extra for my two kids this is new to me we were a total of 3 people myself and my two kids. This site lacks any kind of joy. Per some previous reviews and feedback it looks like some teens or someone did some damage here and now I think as a result the rules are super strict. I worked from the road and then on lunch and after work we would go see and do things with my kids and inbetween also take PTO. I wanted to have kids to skateboard just outside the camper, I called and asked as I always check the rules and got a firm no that I would have to be outside with them at all times. It was raining there was no way to be outside and work. My kids don’t wander and if they are staying with the camper and in eye proximity I don’t understand the issue. They could not use the restroom without an escort. I’m a very cautious parent and I even found this a bit much. I’m the parent that is always in the pool if my kids are in it even when I’m frozen in the pool both my kids have tracking phone watches etc. My 11 year old I felt was responsible and old enough to have close range to the camper as long as he wasn’t causing a ruckus. All this to say and I say so constructively, there is a balance. If it’s a family friendly KOA it needs to be family friendly. We stayed at many other KOAs before and after this with family friendly experiences. Would stay here again because it’s well maintained and a good location.
Very nice campground with easy access to the interstate, but still quiet and scenic. Good size dog park for the furry friends and a game Room to relax at as well. We only needed a night, but would have enjoyed a longer stay if we had the time.Rooms: 5/5
The most horrible camping experience my family has ever encountered. Apparently there is new ownership but management is very unprofessional, very rude, and they make up rules as they go. My parents were long time stayers as they moved up here to be closer to their grandchildren. It got to the point where we were uncomfortable to visit them because it seemed management had something to say every time we came around. Keep in mind we never did anything we shouldn't have been doing, we were not loud nor did anything to bring attention our way. They started demanding we paid $10 every time we came to visit even when just dropping off our daughter and also only forced these made up rules on some but not all. They told my parents they needed to not use their outside rug anymore yet their daughter was 2 spaces down with her golf cart parked on a rug. Also told us we were not allowed to park at my parents campsite because there was only allowed one car per site yet there were multiple campsites who had more than one car staying there the whole time. They closed the pool down at 7pm, even though the sun doesn't go down til about 9 and then continued using the pool themselves all night long. They also tried making my parents pack up their outside gate once a week to mow when they didn't even have grass at their campsite. That last night they were there, my boyfriend and I went up to help them pack up some stuff and got approached by management on their golf cart around 930-940pm with a "are you guys even registered and why are you still here? quiet time starts at 10pm." At that point, we were all sitting around outside just watching tv. We were not aware there was a curfew. We ended up going up front at that point after hours trying to read the information they had out to read and got approached by the owners. Not only did they talk to us like we were stupid, they ended the conversation saying if we didn't like it, we could leave because they had 50 people waiting to get in when they already had 50 open spots that were not being used. If you can help it, I would stop anywhere else!
