We attended a family function here the weekend of July 7th. We were traveling with cats, I called ahead to ensure they would be welcome also. They were. I booked the basic cabin for our stay. If you're looking for air con and amenities, I can recommend the deluxe style cabins. Got to hang out in one for a bit The weather was hot that weekend and the basic cabins hold onto the heat. There are ceiling fans and we had an extra fan with us, but it was the wee hours of the morning before it cooled off will all of the fans, windows, and door open. Just FYI. The grounds were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Restrooms were lit up all night and reasonably clean for the amount of use. One of the best camp grounds I've ever stayed at.
Great location and very clean! Enjoyed our stay! Would like the store to have more souvenirs and other options! Otherwise it was a great stay and would recommend to others! Walkability: Close to stores and health clinic
Got a tent site. When I got there I waited forever for the person to come out of the back room and help me. Got to the tent site it was nice and on the river. Went to use the bathroom and all of the toilets had poop or barf all over. Garbages were overflowing. For what I paid I expected it to be clean and not smellyService: 2/5
We are here with our friends trailer camping for a week over the 4th of July. Upon arrival and setting up, I ran up to the camp store to get some ice and look around. I walked into the KOA store and was not greeted with hello, but rather, you have 4 minutes. I said, "what did you say?" The kid says back to me, "you have 4 minutes until we close." So my son and I asked where the ice was, grabbed a bag and went to pay. Then, the same kid tried talking to me about how my day was going and if I was enjoying my stay." Like he had all the time in the world. I told him I had just pulled in and was getting settled. Second upsetting thing is the bounce pillow. It has a huge hole in it and as soon as kids step on, it deflates. 2 Adults need to sit on the hole in order to semi inflate the pillow. This is disappointing. Their kids area is lack luster. They have no train or any of the many activities many other KOA have. 2 years ago we were here the same weekend with the same friends and had problems with neighbor campers being loud. We called the after hours number and it was promptly dealt with, including a visit from police for some very intoxicated gentlemen. We were impressed to say the least. Management the next morning came and apologized for the people behavior and informed us they had canceled their reservation and sent them in their way. Fast forward to current week and we are having noise problems with a group of 3 trailer and 1 tent site. Kids and adults are walking through our sites in order to get to the bathroom, instead of walking around. They are also well past the quiet hours allowing their hoard of children to run around scream, they are playing very loud music and being very loud. My husband and I both have called and texted the after hours numberas per the rules sheet to ask they be talked to, to quiet down so my family and all the rest of the neighbors can have a restful evening. The manager on the first night never even responded and the partying went on until 1130 to 12 before we finally fell asleep. I have a 4, 10 and 13 year old boy. Again the next night they started up again and we contacted the manager. They finally did respond to my husband's text messages, but the party is currently up and still loud. Nothing has been done to enforce their rules. We are very disappointed in this Management team. Lastly, the pool is so murky I made my kids take long showers after swimming. Cleaning the water is not a top priority. The pool deck was clean but some of the chairs were broken. Winthrop has some weird hours in town, but it is such a unique place to relax. Book this KOA at your own risk. Nearby activities: Rafting pick up is in the KOA along the river. Walkability: Quick walk to grocery store and coffee stand.
We paid nearly $80 USD to have an unkept, ungroomed, garbage strewn site for our tent. The staff were not attentive. The picnic table was dirty and soiled. Bathrooms were not adequate for the number of guests on site. Showers and floors were dirty. I would never stay here again.Rooms: 1/5
Lovely campground, sitting right on the river. Everybody was friendly, clean facility, friendly people, basic camp store at the KOA, but, thrift way and hardware store within blocks. Along with a cinema. Easy short bike ride into Winthrop. They had pancakes on July 4. Which was something we hadn’t seen at an KOA since precovid. So it was nice to see things starting to return to the comforts that made us start using KOA seven years ago The only problem is the bathrooms. Only six bathrooms and/or showers. And on a busy weekend. You can expect to be waiting a lot to go potty, otherwise you’re going to need to find a bucket to use. And Wi-Fi is not readily available. But cell service area is great for Verizon. So I was able to use our personal hotspots for work
Our stay was short but were not disappointed! End site # F008 was level and spacious, no trouble getting our 35' class A Rv in. Restrooms and showers were very clean. Children enjoyed the many activities!Service: 5/5
Convenient access to North Cascades National Park. The town of Winthrop has great services. The Ace Hardware and the Thriftway have about anything you could need. Katie's coffee kiosk is a little bit interesting. Take a look at the hats and t-shirts and you'll find her motto to be unusual Nearby activities: Closest KOA to North Cascades National Park entrances.
Lovely chill tent spot by the river, mosquitoes were out but tolerable. Sad I didn’t catch his name; the guy who checked us in was super kind and so sweet to share his chef skills, SUPER delicious!! Thanks again and bummed I didn’t find you before leaving for that recipe haha! All the best!!
We had a wonderful couple days sleeping in the covered wagon. The beds were comfortable. The pool was clean. The workers were very friendly.Rooms: 5/5
