By far the rudest experience I've ever had. At the front desk women was eating and barely recognized me as a customer. I kindly as for assistance but the energy was so bad I waited patiently. Save yourself the time. I held back writing how disrespectful they were here out of consideration of this being a black owner. Blessings and beware...
I made a very big mistake ordering dinner for my visitors last night at this restaurant, the pepper soup, fish, and plantain jollof rice were tasteless, I have to dump the food because I feel so embarrassed to bring it back, and the meats were horrible, the only good thing is the plantain. Please you need a good cook before losing all your customers, cause three of my friend says the same thing about your food, and that's not good. Thanks
Food was subpar at best. I’ve really been craving fufu and decided to give this place a chance as it’s right next door to my favorite hair salon. The first time I tried to place an order was on DoorDash and they had to cancel my entire order because they were out of Ayamase. I should have listened the first time but decided let me try again and went in person. Upon walking in the lady at the front didn’t have a mask on and the guy in the back didn’t have one on either. STILL trying to ignore this I decided let me still give it a try. They were out of basically every single thing. I ordered Egusi and pepper soup, two of my absolute favorite foods ever the Egusi was 2/3 oil 1/3 actual soup and virtually tasteless. The pounded yam was super mushy and would not form, I had to recook it, adding more pounded yam when I got home. The pepper soup was deliciously spicy but still missing all flavor. Note to self: when craving my home food just make it myself or go to family’s house
The food is beyond delicious! Worth the money and wait! Live band is always a plus to the amazing food! Regarding the negative reviews I am a bit confused as to why? Remember this is a Nigerian restaurant where food is made from scratch hence why there is a wait, it’s not a fast food place where you can get a burger under 5 minutes. The owner is a very kind man who is very attentive of his business and if there is anything you don’t like regarding quality of the food, he helps resolves for you right away when he is put aware. I recommend anyone to come and experience this restaurant.
Was looking forward to eating asun here, heard so many good reviews about it, it was all fat. They could have used better quality goat meat c'mon, was very disappointedFood: 1/5
Godfrey was especially attentive and helpful, the soups were hot and spicy, the àsun was great not as good as back home, but great enough! and the live music made for a great evening. Come and join in on the fun!
there is no good communication with the customer or those who come outside for the package, the customer says something else, the customer says something else, the customer does not understand, there is no communication disorder and there is no polite behavior, and it makes them wait too long,Service: 1/5
Terrible experience. Waited 30 minutes after placing order online and waiting 30-45 minutes to go pick it up. Food was terrible terrible. Not edible. Customer service was also awful. Take your money elsewhere!!!! Not cheap either for such terrible food and service. Not sure how they are getting such high ratings this was not an experience I would ever want to have again.
2 times in a row I called to place an order and they did not have what I ordered but waited until I reached there or 30-45 minutes after I placed the order to tell me this. On a normal day the food takes about 45 minutes which is ridiculous. The food is hit or miss. On a day when it's fresh, it's delicious. Some days it is not as fresh, the rice and meat will be hard and inedible. Not consistent enough to recommend or keep returning. More of a hassle at this point.
The first time I ordered from here the steam fish was good and now my second time it was a disaster, Egusi with chicken was not all that great. The chicken was too hard and the soup was tasteless. The steam fish wasn’t cooked all the way and I placed it in the oven to cook it some more. I don’t think this establishment like first timers.
