Food was delish. Our chef at the table was really personable, n funny. He made the whole experience worth it. Drinks were great. It was a good x. There is construction going on inside the building, so it looked like half of restaurant was shut down so make reservations in advance cause there is limited seating. But overall it was a good x. Mai tais were reall good. Thank u bartender lady great job n the ‍.
Koki's has been a family favorite for the past 10 years. This place is very homey and feels more authentic. Don't waste your time going to benihana. The food is great, consistent and good quality. The cooks are hilarious. Koki's could use better ventilation definitely due for that and a little remodel, but overall the best in orange county. I had the Mix 2: ny steak and salmon dinner comes with soup salad shrimp appetizer veggies and choice of steamed or fried rice, get the fried rice! We ordered apps for the whole table gyoza, calamari tempura shrimp tempura and Edamame Vegetarian options: My nephew had the tofu and it was amazing Parking: Easy parking right in front Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcomed my kid had a tantrum and nobody cared.
My daughter wanted to go to the B word place for her birthday, and after the last few times of visiting that place, I knew I had to find a different teppanyaki joint. And bang, Google introduced me to Koki's and I am absolutely grateful as such. The wait time was relatively short with how busy they were versus staff on duty and the ambiance inside was great, almost as if you were at a family members house. The server/host/bussers were very attentive, would refill your drink as it was about to be empty, versus waiting until you are done and needing to ask. The chef was also spectacular, up beat with great jokes. Best part was that the server sang happy birthday to my kiddo by himself after making a little hat for her to celebrate as well. wish I recalled his name but thanks a lot!!!
I like this place every time I'm here. Usually a family celebration spot. Each trip is a different experience and all are equally nice. Food is good stuff is fun and the atmosphere is properFood: 5/5
Definitely a disappointment! First timer, I took my family for dinner and left the place with mixed feelings. Food quality was very low, the cooking show was fun to watch hence the 2 stars. Customer service was below average, quite pricey for poor quality food.
They are amazing, they make you feel special on your birth day, they got the kids involved, can't afford everyday but well worth it, call ahead for sure.Food: 5/5
Great food and always a great showFood: 4/5
If I could give 0 stars I would. We placed a phone order and they said 40 minutes. We came at 40 minutes and they said they chef hadn't started on our order. Waited another 40 minutes and then when I was fed up I went back in and they said they forgot to make part of it so they'd refund me. Totally disorganized. Waste of time.Food: 1/5
Stopped in for lunch and we were greeted and seated promptly. Only one other couple was in the restaurant at the time. First impression was of how worn out and dated everything looked. I asked our server about the crumbs and debris left on the table and grille and was told that it's normal to see that on a "working" table. We almost got up and walked out due to the unsanitary cooking area, but decided to give them a chance. My wife ordered shrimp and I had Teriyaki chicken. The chef was pleasant and easy to talk with, but made no attempt to be entertaining while cooking our meal. The soup and salad were the standard faire one expects at a Tappan restaurant. The chicken was cooked thoroughly but tasted rather bland. The shrimp, likewise, was missing any kind of kick to make it enjoyable. The salad and the fried rice were the highlights of the meal. The small bar looked friendly enough, and the hoods above the grilles look like a recent upgrade, but overall, the atmosphere was tired and not very inviting.
The best place to eat in Orange County and if you can't finish your food the leftovers taste great as well. Way better than benihana's been coming here for 12 years and the food is always spot-onDine in: YesTakeout: Yes
